The Moscow Export Center delegation was hosted by Nigerdock during a tour of Snake Island Integrated Free Zone (SIIFZ) and Snake Island Port in Lagos recently. The Moscow Export Center supports SMEs, entrepreneurs, and industrial manufacturers seeking to expand into international markets. Through trade promotion initiatives, business missions, and strategic partnerships, it connects Russian businesses with global buyers, investors, and logistics providers.

The visit indicates Nigeria and Russia's renewed focus on bilateral trade, sustainable economic collaboration, and new opportunities for joint ventures, technology transfer, and knowledge exchange.

The Russian delegation was led by Vitaly Stepanov. Snake Island Integrated Free Zone (SIIFZ) was represented by the Managing Director, Semiu Akorede, while Nigerdock was represented by Executive Director, Daniel Ayscough and Sales Manager, Jean-Alain Seerungen.

Together with our anniversary, this year’s World Day for Safety and Health at Work reflects on our forty years of advancing safer, healthier workplaces, and ensuring employee well‑being.

At our annual town hall to commemorate World Day for Safety and Health at Work, our HSE Manager, Joseph Adejo delivered the keynote address on this year’s theme, “Let’s ensure a healthy psychosocial working environment,” spotlighting the importance of mental health alongside physical safety.

He also shared practical approaches from open communication and strong support systems to stress‑mitigation policies for employees to thrive mentally and physically.

Nigerdock and Mediterranean Shipping Company (), the world’s largest shipping line, have signed a sub-concession agreement for MSC to develop, operate, and maintain an exclusive container terminal spanning 30 hectares within Snake Island Port.

This world-class terminal will attract foreign direct investment to accelerate growth in Nigeria’s maritime industry and solidify Lagos as a major hub for global trade.
