Tips During Lowering Cages in Bored Pile

1. Use Proper Lifting Points
Lift from designated lifting hooks.
2. For long cages, use two-point or multi-point lifting to avoid distortion.
3. Lower Slowly and Vertically
Avoid sudden dropping or swinging.
4. Keep the cage centered in the borehole.
5. Use a Guide Frame
A guide frame at pile top helps prevent the cage from hitting borehole sides.
6. Avoid Impact with Borehole Wall
Contact with the wall may:
damage spacers,
collapse soil,
displace reinforcement alignment.
7. Check for Obstruction
If resistance occurs:
stop immediately,
do not force the cage down.
8. Recheck for collapsed soil, bent cage, or sediment buildup.
