As the newly appointed People and Culture Manager at a clothing company, I embarked on understanding the work culture within the organization. Here are some key observations I've made:
- Many workers tend to emulate the behavior of their Line Managers or Supervisors, whether consciously or unconsciously.
- There is a willingness among most employees to embrace change, provided they are engaged and communicated with effectively.
- Favoritism towards certain individuals undermines the overall culture of the workplace, causing disengagement and dissatisfaction among other team members.
Recognizing these issues, it's imperative to address them promptly through strategic interventions. By implementing corrective measures at the recruitment stage and fostering ongoing awareness initiatives, we can steer the company towards a more inclusive and positive work culture.
I, Onibudo Samuel A., am committed to making a difference and facilitating a workplace environment where every individual feels valued and empowered to thrive.
