Why Dependency Injection Matters in ASP.NET Core!

One of the first habits I had to break as a .NET developer was creating service instances directly inside my controllers using new.
It works, but as your application grows, it becomes harder to test, maintain, and extend.

That's where Dependency Injection (DI) comes in.
By letting ASP.NET Core provide the services your controller needs, you gain:
1. Loose coupling between components
2. Easier unit testing with mock services
3. Better maintainability and scalability
4. Cleaner code that follows SOLID principles.

Dependency Injection isn't just a framework feature—it's a design practice that helps you build production-ready applications.

Don't Return Raw Data From Your API

One common mistake I see in ASP.NET Core Web API projects is returning data directly without proper HTTP responses.

Instead of returning just a collection, use "ActionResult" (or "ActionResult").

Why?

✅ Return the correct HTTP status codes (200, 404, 400, etc.)
✅ Handle errors gracefully
✅ Build APIs that are easier to maintain
✅ Follow REST API best practices
