The MEGASTAR workshop series continues with Phase 3 and today we are spotlighting the machine that makes repeatable, accurate assembly possible at every scale of production.

The Multi Boring Machine.

After the Spindle Moulder shapes and profiles each component, the next critical step before assembly is hole boring. In furniture manufacturing, this is far more involved than it sounds.

Every cabinet carcass requires precisely positioned dowel holes for structural joining. Every door panel requires hinge cup holes bored to exact diameter and depth. Every shelf unit requires pin holes drilled at consistent intervals across matching side panels. Every hardware fitting requires mounting holes positioned to specification.

If any of these holes are even slightly out of position, the consequences compound at assembly. Doors that do not hang square. Shelves that sit at an angle. Joints that require force to close and never sit fully flush.

The Multi Boring Machine eliminates this risk entirely. It carries multiple drill heads that operate simultaneously, boring a pre-configured pattern of holes across a component in a single pass. The spacing, depth, and positioning are set once and then replicated with absolute consistency across every piece in the production run regardless of volume.

For a company like MEGASTAR that delivers furniture across commercial projects involving dozens or hundreds of identical units, this level of drilling consistency is not a convenience. It is a production requirement.

Phase 3 of the MEGASTAR manufacturing series is officially underway and we are opening it with a machine that marks a significant shift in what happens on our production floor.

The Spindle Moulder.

Up until this point, every machine in Phase 1 and Phase 2 has been focused on preparing and dimensioning timber. Drying, cutting, squaring, surfacing, calibrating. All of it building toward one thing: components that are geometrically precise and ready for the next stage.

The Spindle Moulder is where the character begins.

This machine uses high speed rotating cutter heads mounted on a vertical spindle to cut specific profiles, grooves, rebates, and decorative edges into timber components. The cutter configuration can be changed to match virtually any design requirement, which makes it one of the most versatile machines on our floor.

In practical terms, the Spindle Moulder is responsible for the decorative edge detailing on cabinet frames and door panels, the tongue and groove joints that hold components together with structural integrity, the routed channels that receive glass, mirrors, or inset panels, and the distinctive moulded profiles that give MEGASTAR furniture its visual character.

This is the machine where a plain rectangular piece of timber starts looking like furniture.

We are closing out Phase 2 of our manufacturing series today with the station that delivers the final dimension check before components move into crafting and assembly.

The Thickness Wood Machine.

This machine represents the last quality gate in Phase 2 and its role is straightforward but indispensable: ensuring that every timber component leaving this station carries a uniform, calibrated thickness across its entire surface on both faces.

Its contribution to production quality:

Correcting residual thickness variation across the length and width of each board
Processing both faces simultaneously to achieve true parallel surfaces
Delivering batch consistency so that components assembled together behave predictably at every joint and connection point

The significance of this station becomes clearest at assembly. Furniture components that vary even marginally in thickness create misalignment, uneven surface planes, and joint gaps that no finishing process can fully conceal. The Thickness Wood Machine removes that risk before it can travel any further down the line.

Phase 2 complete:
Table Cutting Machine, Electronic Beam Saw, Squaring Circular Saw Machine, Surface Planing Machine, Thickness Wood Machine.

Five stations. One objective across all of them: components that are dimensionally exact, surface ready, and built to assemble without compromise.

Phase 3, Crafting and Assembly, begins next. The Spindle Moulder, Multi Boring Machine, Hot Pressing Machine, and Edge Banding Machine are coming. This is the phase where individual components begin to take the form of finished furniture.

We are back with another episode in our Phase 2 manufacturing series and today we are spotlighting the machine that prepares timber surfaces for everything that follows.
The Surface Planing Machine.
After panels and timber sections have been cut, squared, and dimensioned through the earlier stations, they arrive at the Surface Planer carrying something invisible to most eyes but critical to quality: surface imperfections.
Saw marks from previous cutting stages, slight undulations in the timber face, and grain irregularities are all present at this point. Left unaddressed, they affect how adhesives bond, how veneers sit, and ultimately how a finished surface looks and feels.
The Surface Planing Machine resolves all of this by passing timber across precision rotating blades that shave the face down to a flat, consistent, and clean surface. The result is timber that is not just the right size and shape but genuinely ready for the next stage of production.
This is a step that separates serious furniture manufacturers from everyone else. The quality of a final finish is only ever as good as the surface it was applied to.

The Squaring Circular Saw Machine.
Here is why this station matters more than most people realise.
By the time a panel reaches this machine, it has already been dried, sliced, cross cut, table cut, and beam sawed. But raw panel edges are rarely perfect. They carry slight variances in angle and dimension that would compound into visible quality issues if left uncorrected.
The Squaring Circular Saw addresses all four sides of each panel, trimming edges to exact right angles and confirming that every piece meets precise dimensional specification before it advances to the next phase.
In a production environment where we are building furniture for commercial facilities, corporate offices, and high-end residential projects, this level of accuracy is not optional. It is what separates furniture that looks premium from furniture that actually is premium.
We have taken you through the Table Cutting Machine and the Electronic Beam Saw. The Squaring Circular Saw is the third station in Phase 2 and every machine in this sequence builds on the one before it.

Phase 2 of our workshop series is well underway and today we are spotlighting a machine that does the heavy lifting when it comes to panel work.
The Electronic Beam Saw.
When we receive large format wooden panels, whether MDF, plywood, or composite boards, they need to be broken down into precise components before anything else happens. That is exactly what this machine is built for. Straight cuts, sheet ripping, and accurate panel sizing at an industrial scale.
The precision at this stage determines how cleanly everything downstream comes together. A poorly cut panel creates problems all the way to final assembly. A perfectly cut one makes every subsequent stage easier, faster, and more consistent.
Last episode we walked you through the Table Cutting Machine. The Beam Saw is the natural next step and together these two stations define the dimensional accuracy that MEGASTAR furniture is built on.
