EMPLOYEE STORY | A PLACE TO GROW AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE 💙💛

A workplace becomes meaningful when people feel valued, supported, and empowered to become better at what they do.

In this edition of our Employee Story, we feature Chinwe Onyemelukwe, Procurement Officer at OceanKlass Solutions Limited.

Chinwe appreciates the management for creating a positive work environment where employees are valued and encouraged to do better. For her, OceanKlass is also a place to grow professionally, contribute meaningfully, and make a difference.

This reflects our core value of People Focus. We believe our people are fundamental to our success, and creating an environment where they can learn, develop, and contribute is an important part of who we are.

At OceanKlass, every person matters, every contribution counts, and every opportunity to grow makes us stronger as a team.

Thank you, Chinwe, for sharing your experience!

Every project, task, and challenge allows us to learn something new. Sometimes, it is discovering a better way to work. Other times, it is recognising what went wrong and knowing what to do differently next time.⁣
⁣
But experience only becomes valuable when we take time to reflect, document what we have learned, and apply those lessons to future work.⁣
⁣
Before you close out your next task, ask yourself:⁣
- What worked well?⁣
- What could have been done better?⁣
- What should I do differently next time?⁣
⁣
Write it down. Keep a record of your lessons learned. Share useful insights with your team, and make each new task an opportunity to improve on the last.⁣

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬.

Some work happens quietly, behind a desk, behind a screen, in a store, in an office, in a vehicle, or behind the scenes.

It may not make the project photograph. It may not get the recognition that the work on site receives. But it still matters.

Every document processed, every purchase made, every payment handled, every system kept running, every record maintained, every person supported, and every detail taken care of helps keep the bigger picture moving.

So, if your work sometimes feels unnoticed, keep doing it.

𝑲𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒑.

𝑲𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒍𝒚.

Because the work nobody sees is part of what makes everything possible.

Your contribution counts. Keep going.

Like the barge, our beloved nation has weathered storms, sailed through turbulent waters, and continued to carry its people forward.

But the journey is not over. We are still building.

Building a nation that can withstand the pressures of its time.
Building a future worthy of the , we pray for the strength to keep building, the wisdom to navigate every challebrilliance, resilience and hard work of its people.
Building toward a horizon filled with greater hope and possibility.

As we celebrate 66 years of independencenge, and the courage to keep moving forward.

Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria. 🇳🇬

Still building. Still moving. Still hopeful.

A routine task can feel familiar enough to rush.

That is often when small steps get skipped, checks get missed, and unnecessary risks are introduced.

Safety is not about how quickly we finish the job. It is about doing the job correctly, every time.

Take the extra minute. Check the conditions. Use the right tools. Follow the procedure.

Because the goal is not simply to get the work done.

The goal is to get the work done right, and get everyone home safe.

🧩 WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT OIL & GAS TERMINOLOGIES?

Let’s test you! 👀

We’ve hidden 14 oil & gas, pipeline construction, pigging and maintenance terms in the puzzle.

Think you can find them all? 🔎

Drop your answers in the comments using the coordinates.

For example:
👉 PIPELINE — C15 to J15. CHECK IT OUT!

Now it’s your turn. How many can you find? 😏

𝗔 𝗕𝗔𝗗 𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗗 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦𝗡’𝗧 𝗔𝗟𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗕𝗔𝗗 𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗡𝗘.

It can pass through a project quietly until vibration, pressure, corrosion or operating stress exposes the weakness.

Then the cost is no longer just the weld.

It can mean rework, project delays, equipment damage, unplanned shutdowns, compromised pipeline integrity and significant financial losses.

That is why quality cannot be something we check only at the end.

At every stage, we focus on getting the fundamentals right: proper preparation, correct alignment, precise fit-up, thorough inspection and controlled welding ex*****on.

For our clients, this means no surprises after the work is completed and greater confidence in the integrity of the finished pipeline.

We don't cut corners to get the weld done. We follow the process that gets the weld done right.

A pipeline defect needs the right repair, not just a quick fix.

When inspection identifies a section that requires replacement, the challenge is in executing the repair correctly, from exposing and isolating the affected section to cutting, spool installation, welding, inspection, testing and reinstatement.

Sectional replacement remains a practical and established pipeline repair method, particularly where the affected section can be isolated and replaced while the remaining pipeline is retained in service. The appropriate repair method depends on the nature and location of the defect and the engineering assessment of the pipeline.

At OceanKlass Solutions, we undertake sectional replacement works with the engineering, fabrication and field ex*****on capability required to return affected pipeline sections to service.

Identify the defect. Isolate the problem. Replace the section. Restore the line.

Consistency is choosing to keep going, even when the results are not immediate. It is the discipline to show up, do the work, and take the next step, again and again.

Over time, those small efforts become something much bigger. Our ongoing 1,000-ton Ramp Barge project is a clear example: what began with steel plates and pipes is steadily becoming a vessel.

Keep showing up. The results will take shape.

The Build Continues | 1,000-Ton Ramp Barge

The structure is getting closer to its final form.

From the first steel plates and pipes to the developing hull, the 1,000-ton Ramp Barge continues to progress at our Port Harcourt jetty. The latest stage shows further development of the deck structure, ongoing welding and fabrication work, and the gradual completion of key sections of the barge.

Each new stage is another visible step from raw materials to a working marine asset.

The work continues. The structure grows. The vision takes shape.
