NACOS UDUS Hosts 2026 Orientation Program, Unveils First-Ever Chapter Website
The Nigeria Association of Computing Students (NACOS), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) Chapter, has successfully held its 2026 Orientation Program, marking a major milestone in the history of the association.
The orientation program officially welcomed newly admitted students of Computer Science, Software Engineering and Cyber Security, providing them with essential academic guidance and introducing them to the vision, structure and opportunities within NACOS.
A key highlight of the event was the official unveiling of the NACOS UDUS website, the first of its kind in the chapter’s history. The digital platform was introduced as an innovation-driven solution designed to enhance efficiency and transparency within the association. Its features include online shopping, generation and printing of digital receipts, and other functionalities aimed at simplifying transactions, communication and student engagement.
The program also witnessed the inauguration of the NACOS Disciplinary Committee, a step taken to strengthen discipline, accountability and ethical standards within the association. The oath of office was administered by the CEO and Founder of Grandgale Technologies, emphasizing professionalism and responsibility in the discharge of duties.
Addressing the students, the President of NACOS UDUS, Abdulrashid Nasiru, congratulated the new students and emphasized the responsibility that comes with studying computing-related disciplines. According to him:
Congratulations to you. Gaining admission into this department is a great opportunity that comes with great responsibility. You are stepping into fields that power modern systems, secure digital networks, develop innovative software, and solve real-world problems that shape society.”

Dr. Idris Ahmad Tambuwal, who addressed students on academic and professional development

The CEO and Founder of Grandgale Technologies, who also charged students on innovation and excellence in the tech ecosystem
