A Digital Compression Testing Machine (2000 kN) is used to determine the compressive strength of materials like concrete, bricks, and stones. It can apply a maximum load of 2000 kN (about 200 tons). The machine consists of a rigid load frame, hydraulic system, compression platens, piston, and a digital control unit. During operation, a specimen is placed between the platens and load is applied gradually through hydraulic pressure until failure occurs. The peak load is recorded digitally and used to calculate compressive strength. It provides high accuracy, easy operation, and is widely used in construction quality control and laboratory testing.
