Abak Bridge 45 M Span Awka Ibom State
Raycon was awarded Abak Urban Roads, including the hospi- tal road which is 15km. When the construction started on the hospital road it was soon apparent that an existing triple cell culvert would collapse. The Ministry of Works decided to start looking into the pos- sibility of building a bridge to safe guard the environment. Soon thereafter an additional work was added and the bridge project became active. The most challenging part of the work was to co-exist with the villagers who were making use of the road on a daily basis. The water had to be diverted in such a manner that would allow the construction to go on and would also allow the villagers to use the road safely.
