A reputable Sachet water (pure water) packaging company is looking for an experienced Business Development/Sales Manager for its operations. The responsibilities shall include;
• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies: This involves setting goals, creating plans to achieve them, and executing those plans to increase sales and market share.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities: This involve researching new markets, finding potential customers, and developing distributorship deals and new partnerships.
• Conduct market research/ Analyze market trends and customer needs: This involves understanding current market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs for making crucial informed decisions about product development, pricing, and marketing. It also involves using data to inform product development, pricing, and marketing strategies.
• Develop and manage sales routes and outlets: This involves prospecting, qualifying leads, and nurturing them through the sales cycle until a deal is closed.
• Develop and manage sales quotas and territories: Ensuring sales teams are effectively organized and motivated to meet sales targets.
• Manage client relationships: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Negotiate and finalize agreements, contracts, and partnerships: Ensuring that all agreements are fair, legal, and beneficial for the company.
• Develop and implement commercial policies and procedures: Ensuring that the company's commercial activities are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
• Manage and improve the company's brand image and reputation: Protecting and enhancing the company's image through various marketing activities. It also involves staying informed about the company's products or services and be able to articulate their value propositions to clients:
Requirement/Qualifications
• The ideal person should preferably have previous experience working in a pure-water /goods manufacturing/product sales or distribution company for a minimum of 2 years as a sales officer.
• ND/HND/BSc in marketing, business administration, management, etc
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Effective communication is crucial for building relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: The ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop solutions is essential.
• Negotiation/persuasion skills: The ability to negotiate contracts and agreements with clients with strong persuasion skills is crucial for securing business deals.
• Business acumen: A strong understanding of the sachet water business, pure water industry, and its competitive landscape is essential for making informed decisions. This also involves understanding the operational and distribution process of pure water ‘in the street’.
• Self-starter, must be able to drive initiatives independently
• Ability to drive a vehicle would be an added advantage
Remuneration: Attractive based on experience
Job Location: Otuoke, Ogbia LGA, Bayelsa State
NOTE: The ideal person must be resident in Otuoke or its neighborhood
