We are excited to announce that since April, the WHILL Autonomous Service has been running in trial operation at Terminal 3 of London Heathrow Airport – together with ABM, the largest provider of assisted travel services in the UK.

Using an intuitive touchscreen interface, travelers can select their destination. Our autonomous wheelchairs then take them safely through the terminal area and return independently afterward. This makes airport mobility more comfortable, efficient, and self-determined for everyone.

“I’ve just returned from three wonderful weeks in the USA — with my WHILL Model F. And what an adventure it was,” enthuses a WHILL user from France. From Los Angeles to Las Vegas, on to Zion National Park, Monument Valley, along Route 66 and back to L.A. After that, she continued on to New Orleans, Miami and finally back to Paris.
The WHILL Model F was with her throughout the entire trip: at the airport, out and about in the city, and on long days full of impressions. And that was exactly what mattered to the travel-loving French woman: keeping up, being part of it all, and enjoying the moment.
