What happens inside a rope under load when you can't see what's going on?
To find out, we looked straight through it.

Using micro-CT scanning, we examined a three-strand aramid rope under two load conditions. Ben Rolink presented the findings at the Eurocord & Cordage Institute Annual Conference, showcasing filament-by-filament evidence of how strands move and slip internally.

The research, co-funded with the University of Twente , provides valuable insights into what happens beneath the surface, even when a rope appears perfectly intact from the outside.

Brunel Solar Team has finished second in the 2026 Electrek American Solar Challenge, driving Nuna 13S the full 1,500 miles from Minneapolis to Amarillo on solar power alone, in their first attempt at this race.

This year, we partnered with the team on racing suits made with Teijinconex® meta-aramid fiber.

Congratulations to the whole team on a strong result in their US debut.

1,560 kg. Suspended from a 3.8 mm cable.

At INTERSCHUTZ, we challenged visitors to guess the breaking load of a ParaFil™ rope with Twaron®, made by Prime Synthetic Solutions Ltd. The answer: 1,560 kg from just under 4 mm of fiber.
