AGA Color Solutions provides the best printing inks and related products for screen printing and digital printing. We are probably best known by our original name: VISPROX (now a brand within the Kiian group). Our digital products concentrate around dye sublimation, offering the best dye sublimation inks available: Manoukian (Kiian digital).

Meet Danny Hijne: service technician, field sales representative, machine tester and colour management specialist. In short: the person at AGA who wears a lot of different hats. 👋

Danny studied at the Grafisch Lyceum in Amsterdam and built the digital printing department at Saen Screen. He then moved on to Lensen Toppoint, until the work started shifting to Poland and that wasn't the direction he wanted. When AGA (then known as Visprox) came knocking, he didn't hesitate. He joined in January 2017, already familiar with the company since he was 13 through his older brother.

At AGA, Danny's screen printing background is very helpful. As for digital: he tests every new machine before it goes out (the standards are simply that high), manages purchasing contacts, and dives into product development whenever something new needs trialling.

What keeps him here? The freedom to work with his hands, develop his own ideas, and be part of a great team. All at the same time.

Outside of work, you'll find him with a glass of whisky, tending to his 2-metre aquarium, or riding his moped all the way to Sweden for the Garbage run. 🏍️🐟🥃

Danny studeerde aan het Grafisch Lyceum in Amsterdam en bouwde de digitale druktak op bij Saen Screen. Daarna stapte hij over naar Lensen Toppoint, totdat het werk steeds meer naar Polen verschoof en dat niet de richting was die hij op wilde. Toen AGA (destijds nog Visprox) hem benaderde, twijfelde hij geen moment. Hij trad in januari 2017 in dienst bij AGA, een bedrijf dat hij al kende sinds zijn dertiende via zijn oudere broer.

Bij AGA komt de zeefdrukachtergrond van Danny goed van pas. Op digitaal gebied test hij alle nieuwe machines voor ze de deur uitgaan (de eisen liggen nou eenmaal hoog), onderhoudt contacten op inkoopgebied en duikt altijd mee in productontwikkeling als er iets nieuws getest moet worden.

Wat houdt hem hier? De vrijheid om met zijn handen te werken, zijn eigen ideeën uit te voeren en deel uit te maken van een goed team. En dat allemaal tegelijk.

Buiten het werk vind je hem met een glas whisky, aan zijn aquarium van 2 meter, of op zijn brommer richting Zweden voor de Garbage Run. 🏍️🐟🥃

Meet Remco: Our Technical Problem Solver 🛠️

Ever wonder who ensures everything runs flawlessly before it reaches our customers? That’s Remco. Whether it’s troubleshooting hardware, testing software, or finding the perfect ink-to-substrate match, he’s the one getting it sorted both on-site and in-house.

With years of experience as a print operator at a large print-production company, Remco knows the industry inside out. He joined AGA seeking a challenge where he could wear many hats. As he puts it: "You have to know a bit of everything here," and that’s exactly what drives him. For Remco, nothing beats the satisfaction of getting a customer back on track.

Off the clock? 🚵 You’ll likely find Remco on his mountain bike. Living right by the forest, he hits the trails whenever he can to recharge.

🇳🇱: Maak kennis met Remco: Onze technische probleemoplosser 🛠️

Vraag je je weleens af wie ervoor zorgt dat alles vlekkeloos werkt voordat het bij onze klanten terechtkomt? Dat is Remco. Of het nu gaat om het oplossen van hardwareproblemen, het testen van software of het vinden van de perfecte match tussen inkt en substraat: hij regelt het, zowel op locatie als bij ons in huis.

Dankzij zijn jarenlange ervaring als printoperator bij een groot print-productiebedrijf kent Remco de sector door en door. Hij kwam bij AGA werken omdat hij op zoek was naar een uitdaging waarin hij veel verschillende rollen kan vervullen. Zoals hij zelf zegt: "Je moet hier van alles wat weten," en dat is precies wat hem motiveert. Voor Remco is er niets mooier dan de voldoening van een klant die weer vooruit kan.

Na werktijd? 🚵 Dan vind je Remco waarschijnlijk op zijn mountainbike. Omdat hij vlakbij het bos woont, gaat hij de trails op zodra hij kan om weer helemaal op te laden.

It started in 1936 with a small trading firm in inks and lacquers, founded by Mr. Visser. Over the decades it grew into Visprox, a well-know name in screen printing inks, recognized for innovation and quality 'made in Holland'.

In 2013 we turned a new page as AGA Color Solutions BV, a broader mission: screen printing, digital inks, emulsions, capillary films and everything you need to print with confidence.

Almost a century of knowledge. Every day at your service. 💪

We'd rather not see your printer... 😅

And honestly? That's a good thing. It means everything is running smoothly, your production is on track and you don't need us on-site.

Before any printer leaves our doors, it goes through a thorough check. And with scheduled maintenance, we keep your printer in top condition: preventing issues before they even get a chance. But even the best machines can have an off day. When that happens, we're there: on-site or remote, fast and reliable.

So here's to hoping we don't see each other often. But if we do, we've got you covered. 🤝

En eerlijk gezegd is dat een goed teken. Het betekent dat alles lekker draait, jouw productie op schema ligt en je ons niet nodig hebt.

Voordat een printer onze deur uitgaat, checken we hem van voor tot achter. En met gepland onderhoud houden we jouw printer in topconditie: zodat problemen geen kans krijgen. Maar zelfs de beste machines hebben soms een slechte dag. Als dat gebeurt, staan we klaar: op locatie of remote, snel en betrouwbaar.

Dus laten we hopen dat we elkaar niet vaak zien. Maar mocht het zover komen, dan zorgen we dat alles weer perfect loopt. 🤝

Meet: Marcel Visser

Marcel is responsible for purchasing, customer service and technical support at AGA Color Solutions. In his role he is in daily contact with suppliers and customers from both the Netherlands and abroad.

With experience in the printing industry and languages such as Chinese, German and English, Marcel helps connect AGA with partners all over the world.

He joined AGA about 10 years after applying for a vacancy that immediately caught his interest. Before that, he also worked at a printing company, experience that still proves valuable in his current role.

What does he like the most about working at AGA?
"The variety. Every day is different."

Outside of work, Marcel enjoys art and culture, often visiting museums in his free time.

A fun part of his job is that he can actually use his Chinese language skills. Recently he travelled to China again to visit trade shows and meet partners in the industry.

Marcel is bij AGA Color Solutions verantwoordelijk voor inkoop, customer service en technische ondersteuning. In zijn werk heeft hij dagelijks contact met leveranciers en klanten, zowel in Nederland als internationaal.

Met ervaring in de printindustrie en talen zoals Chinees, Duits en Engels, vormt Marcel een belangrijke schakel tussen AGA en partners over de hele wereld.

Zo'n tien jaar geleden begon hij bij AGA nadat hij solliciteerde op een vacature die hem meteen aansprak. Daarvoor werkte hij ook al bij een drukkerij, ervaring waar hij tot op de dag van vandaag nog steeds gebruik van maakt in zijn huidige rol.

Wat hij het leukste vindt aan zijn werk?
"De afwisseling. Geen dag is hetzelfde."

In zijn vrije tijd houdt Marcel van kunst en cultuur en bezoekt hij graag musea.

Een mooi aspect van zijn werk is dat hij zijn kennis van de Chinese taal daadwerkelijk kan gebruiken. Onlangs reisde hij zelfs naar China voor beurzen en ontmoetingen met partners uit de industrie.

DTF printing has rapidly become one of the most popular techniques in textile printing.

DTF stand for 'Direct-To-Film'. In this process, a design is first printed onto a special film using dedicated inks. Adhesive powder is then applied and the design is transferred onto the textile using heat.

The result? Vibrant colours, high detail and durable prints on a wide range of fabrics.

🇳🇱: DTF is in korte tijd uitgegroeid tot een van de populairste technieken binnen de textielprintindustrie

DTF-staat voor 'Direct-To-Film'. Bij dit proces wordt een ontwerp eerst op een speciale film geprint met daarvoor geschikte inkten. Daarna wordt er lijmpoeder toegevoegd en wordt het ontwerp met hitte op textiel geperst.

Did you know that AGA Color Solutions is the original developer of the Visprox screen printing and pad printing inks?

Visprox b.v. was the Dutch company that developed and manufactured screen printing and pad printing inks. The history of Visprox goes back to 1938. Over time, the Visprox brand became well established in the global screen printing market, with inks distributed worldwide from Haarlem.

AGA Color Solutions is the legal successor to Visprox and has always remained closely involved with the product line. Even during the years when the inks were produced by another manufacturer, AGA continued to supply the associated thinners and hardeners and remained connected to the technical development.

Today, the product line continues under the brand name VIPRO. The name has changed due to trademark reasons, but the formulations, technical documentation and product specifications are still based on the original specifications.

In other words: the technology and expertise behind Visprox remain very much part of AGA Color Solutions.

🇳🇱: Wist u dat AGA Color Solutions de oorspronkelijke ontwikkelaar is van de Visprox zeefdruk- en tampondrukinkten?

Visprox b.v. was het Nederlandse bedrijf dat zeefdruk- en tampondrukinkten ontwikkelde en produceerde. De geschiedenis van Visprox gaat terug tot 1938. In de loop der tijd groeide het merk Visprox uit tot een gevestigde naam in de internationale zeefdrukmarkt, waarbij de inkten wereldwijd vanuit Haarlem werden geleverd.

AGA Color Solutions is de rechtsopvolger van Visprox en is altijd nauw betrokken gebleven bij deze productlijn. Zelfs in de jaren waarin de inkten door een andere fabrikant werden geproduceerd, bleef AGA de bijbehorende verdunners en verharders leveren en betrokken bij de technische ontwikkeling.

Tegenwoordig wordt de productlijn voortgezet onder de merknaam VIPRO. De naam is om merkenrechtelijke redenen gewijzigd, maar de recepturen, technische documentatie en productspecificaties zijn nog steeds gebaseerd op de oorspronkelijke specificaties.

Met andere woorden: de technologie en expertise achter Visprox maken nog altijd een belangrijk onderdeel uit van AGA Color Solutions.
