I’d like to share a small, very personal project with you.
Many of you know my work for its handcrafted nature, its focus on sustainability, and making things by hand — such as the cargo bike covers.
Alongside my business, I have started a long-term project that is very close to my heart, and I warmly invite you to follow along.
This project is separate from my business and is not about selling.
In May last year, I became the owner of an old wooden shrimp fishing cutter — a working vessel with a long history. Over the coming five years, I will restore her step by step: slowly, carefully, and entirely by hand.
The project is about preserving traditional craftsmanship, learning by doing, and giving an old vessel a second life.
If you would like to follow the process, I have created a website where I share updates, photos, and stories from the restoration. You can also follow along via my social media channels.
Later on, for those who feel connected to the project, there will be an opportunity to become a Friend of the Cutter — supporting the restoration in small, tangible ways, such as through handmade items or, in time, by spending time on board.
There are no obligations — just an open invitation.
Thank you for being part of my work, in whatever form that may be.
Warm regards from the Netherlands,
Anne Reijse,
