๐ Why pressure testing matters on Platform Supply Vessels โ
In offshore bulk handling, safety and reliability are critical.

Testing these systems at the operating pressure of 5.6 bar / 80 Psi verifies that tanks, valves, piping, connections, safety devices and instrumentation are functioning correctly before offshore operation.
After a successful pressure test, the system must be depressurised in a controlled and safe manner.
During air release, the outlet pipe can become extremely cold due to rapid air expansion, known as the Joule-Thomson effect. The release can also create high noise levels as compressed air passes through the outlet valve, vent line or silencer at high velocity.

Pressure testing is not only about reaching the required pressure. It is about ensuring the system is safe, reliable and ready for offshore bulk handling operations.
We support safe and efficient offshore bulk handling operations.
