: Bridging the gap between theory and practice 🚀

Last week, Bas Reijnen delivered another guest lecture on behalf of Neways at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) within the High Precision Amplifiers Master’s program of the Department of Electrical Engineering.

During the session, Master’s students explored the potential of Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology in industrial electronics and discovered how emerging technologies are translated into real world applications.

The lecture combined a theoretical introduction to GaN with an interactive workshop, where students used simulation tools to compare traditional power components with GaN solutions. This provided valuable insights into both the benefits and the design challenges of next generation power electronics.

At Neways, we believe it is important to share practical industry knowledge with the engineers of tomorrow. We are proud of our collaboration with TU/e and would like to thank the students for their enthusiasm, active participation and engaging discussions.

Last week, we had the pleasure of co-hosting a knowledge session at NXP as part of the Polaris ecosystem, focusing on thermal design closure methodology for RF applications — a topic that clearly resonates across our community.

The strong turnout of 24 participants from across Polaris underlines just how relevant challenges like heat dissipation in RF designs are for our ecosystem today.

A big thank you to NXP, and especially Denver Xavier Desouza, for sharing their methodology and practical experience. Sessions like these are exactly what help us move from promising technology toward real industrial impact.

As Matthias Salewski, Theme Leader for Technology Providers within the Program Line Valorization, highlighted during the opening:

“Developing technology alone is not enough. The real impact comes when we share, exchange, and build on each other’s knowledge.”

We look forward to many more sessions where we continue to learn, connect, and accelerate innovation together.

Earlier this month, our colleagues in Slovakia welcomed family and friends to the new Neways facility for a day full of connection, fun and proud moments together.

Visitors got a behind the scenes look at our daily work through guided tours of the production environment, while children enjoyed bouncy castles, face painting, workshops and VR experiences.

With sunny weather, good food and around 700 visitors, the very first Family Day in Slovakia became a fantastic success.

A big thank you to everyone who helped organize the event and to all colleagues, family and friends who joined us ☀️.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Otto de Bont, the new CEO of Thales Nederland, to Neways for an inspiring visit and valuable discussions on the future of defense technology and collaboration.

Together with Hans Büthker and Michiel van der Maat, we exchanged insights on the growing importance of reliable and scalable electronics in mission-critical defense applications. From design and industrialization to complex system integration, it was great to showcase how Neways supports the defense industry with broad technology expertise and a strong European footprint.

A great step in further strengthening the long standing collaboration between Thales and Neways.

𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

We look back on a successful week at SEMICON Southeast Asia 2026 in Malaysia, where we joined the Netherlands Pavilion alongside several Dutch companies and organizations from the semiconductor ecosystem.

During the event, we connected with companies across the industry, from semiconductor equipment OEMs to technology and supply chain partners. The week offered valuable opportunities to strengthen relationships, exchange insights and explore future collaborations for Neways in Southeast Asia. We also welcomed several visitors to our Neways Malaysia site during the week, where conversations continued around our local capabilities and support for the semiconductor industry.

Our unique expertise and capabilities in semiconductor electronics led to many valuable conversations throughout the week. It was great to discuss how Neways supports semiconductor customers through its global footprint, offering advanced electronics manufacturing and industrialization capabilities close to their regional operations.

A big thank you to Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (BOM), Brainport Industries, Oost NL, Holland High Tech, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Malaysia, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Singapore, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Vietnam and Netherlands Enterprise Agency for organizing and supporting the Netherlands Pavilion and bringing together the Dutch semiconductor ecosystem in Southeast Asia.

Recently, our colleagues at Neways Slovakia organized a dedicated Health Day, fully focused on both physical and mental well-being.

With health professionals on site, colleagues could take part in a wide range of activities, from quick health checks to sessions on mental detox and stress management.

The response speaks for itself:
• 130+ employees completed health checks
• 112 colleagues participated in vascular measurements
• 40+ joined mental well-being sessions

More importantly, it created space to pause, raise awareness, and focus on health together. Fresh fruit and a positive atmosphere made it complete.

A great example of how we continue to invest in the well-being of our people — and hopefully the start of a new tradition.

Last week, we were invited to celebrate King’s Day at the Dutch Embassy in Prague 🇳🇱🇨🇿, hosted by Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Czech Republic Mina Noor.

Together with Roeland Aarts and Robert Frank, we connected with partners and representatives from across the Czech ecosystem, including key defense stakeholders.

During the event, we had the opportunity to speak with, among others, Ambassador Mina Noor and Jaromír Zůna, Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic, about collaboration and future opportunities within the defense domain.

Thank you for the invitation and the valuable conversations. Good to see how partnerships continue to grow.
