This morning, to celebrate Labor Day and take a moment to appreciate each other, we started the day with a shared breakfast in the office.

There was a buffet with freshly baked bread, croissants, bagels, pancakes, scrambled eggs, veggies and fresh fruits. A simple but nice way to slow down together and start the day.

On top of that, everyone received a handwritten card from their manager with a few words of appreciation.

Thanks to the HR and Marketing team (Tessa, Jolanda, Eef and Babett) for organizing and preparing this breakfast!

In our TY office, we’ve created a series of fully illustrated posters for 14 meeting rooms, each named after scientists and artists who continue to inspire us.

The illustrations, including portraits and key elements they are known for, were created in-house by Each room reflects an innovative spirit and a way of thinking that still influences how we work today, with names such as Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, Marie Curie, Niels Bohr, Rosalind Franklin, Erwin Schrödinger, and Charles Darwin, among others. It was a big project, and it’s great to finally see everything come together on the walls.

A small detail in the office, but one that adds meaning to the spaces we use every day.

40 people, a tight course and high energy at TWICE Eindhoven. This was a fun way to spend after hours and we even took the win, both solo and the team win 🏆 Thanks for Rik van den Reijen and Sieuwe Elferink for organizing!

Last week Friday, we swapped desks for helmets and took our Spring Onion to the track, starting the day with a shared lunch at the office prepared by our Onion Committee.

What started as “just a fun team day” quickly turned into full-on race mode. Divided into teams, we hit the track with tight corners, bold overtakes, and a great amount of competitive spirit. Safe to say, hidden talents were discovered!

But beyond the racing, days like this reflect something more important.
They are a snapshot of how we work together, collaborative, energetic, and genuinely connected across teams.
Creating an environment where people enjoy working with each other, not just next to each other, is something we actively invest in, and it shows.

Huge thanks to the Onion Committee for making it all happen once again! Your effort plays a key role in shaping the culture we’re proud of.

This month, 14 students from completed their assignment at Avular, building this robot from scratch.

Over six months, they developed a remote-controlled scale model of a skid steer loader. From mechanical design to electronics and system architecture, the team designed, built, and delivered a fully functional prototype on time and within budget.

Part of our collaboration with Fontys in Eindhoven, the project brings bright technical talent into real-world robotics. Students spent 1–2 days per week at Avular, coached by our engineers and industrial designers, with guidance from Adrie Boverhof (Avular) and Frank Schoenmakers (Fontys). We’d like to extend a big thank you to Frank and Fontys for the great collaboration throughout the project.

The result is more than a scale model, it’s a tangible demonstration of what autonomous solutions can look like, helping bridge the gap between traditional approaches and smarter, automated alternatives.

We’re proud of the students’ enthusiasm and what they created. This project let them experience full-system robot development firsthand. The next step is autonomy, advancing this platform toward a fully self-operating system.

We take our work seriously, but there’s also room to let off some steam. 🎭

This week’s review came with a Carnival twist, adding a little extra color to the office. Because strong teams are built on focus, collaboration, and moments of playfulness in between. 💙🧡
