Today, the FIFA World Cup officially kicks off in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Safe to say some of our colleagues will be following the matches very seriously over the next few weeks.

At Technix, we work with people from many different countries and backgrounds, so tournaments like this always bring extra energy, friendly rivalry and a lot of football discussions to the lunch table.

And if you’re living in the Netherlands during the World Cup, you’ll quickly notice two things everywhere:

Cycling in the Netherlands. 🚲

The Netherlands is known as a true cycling country. For many Dutch people, the bike is the fastest and easiest way to get around. Whether it’s commuting to work, going to the supermarket or catching a train.

And the good news? There are many ways to get started.
You can buy your own bike, choose a monthly bike subscription that includes maintenance and repairs, or use shared bikes that can be picked up and dropped off in different locations around the city.

Most cities are designed with cyclists in mind, with dedicated bike lanes, bike parking and cycling routes almost everywhere.

For internationals, getting comfortable on a bike is often one of the first steps to feeling at home in the Netherlands.

And trust us:
Once you start cycling here, you’ll probably never want to stop.

Recently, we had another great evening together with our colleagues.
Four times a year, we organize a sports event for the Technix team. This edition? Boxing. And let’s just say... things got competitive pretty quickly.

Normally, we spar with ideas, projects and challenges at the office. This time, we were actually sparring in 'the ring'.

Lots of energy, lots of laughs, and of course all with respect for each other. Exactly the kind of evening that brings people together outside of work as well.

And don’t worry, it’s not all action. We usually end the evening with a good drink and some great conversations too. 🍻

One year ago, Charlotte joined Technix. Time flies!

Ask Charlotte what she enjoys most about her work and the answer comes quickly: the international side of it. Meeting people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds is what makes every day different.

Fittingly, she has just returned from Bologna 🇮🇹 after spending a few days exploring the city and experiencing a bit of Italian culture herself.

A nice reminder of what makes her role at Technix so enjoyable: connecting with people, wherever they come from.

Erik recently started at one of our clients as a QSHE Engineer.
