Recently, we launched the 49th and 50th Combi Freighter (CF) 3850 vessels. This major milestone has been achieved in just five years since we unveiled this next-generation vessel design. We are proud of this achievement, which demonstrates the success of shipbuilding in series and the reliability of the CF 3850.

The vessel represents the future of short sea shipping. Fine-tuned through valuable feedback from our clients, the CF 3850 continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of the market. Combining standard, proven solutions with the latest innovations, the vessel pairs optimal reliability with the efficient performance demanded for the operations of today – and tomorrow.

These latest vessels are being built for Malta’s Polidano Group. Launched just one week apart, we are now looking forward to the next phase of construction, with both vessels scheduled for delivery before the end of the year.

More space, more comfort, built for open waters.

We've unveiled our new Fast Ferry 5012, a natural evolution of our trusted Fast Ferry 4212, extended using our Enlarged Ship Concept.
The 50-metre catamaran hull features an increased tunnel height, allowing the vessel to operate confidently in rougher seas and open waters.

Passenger accommodation is positioned further aft to improve comfort in a seaway, while two forward-facing passenger decks make the journey part of the experience.
The additional space doesn't come at the cost of capacity.

The FF 5012 carries up to 450 passengers, while also offering room for retail facilities, a crew room, and a large luggage hold with dedicated side access.

If you’re looking for a compact yet powerful tug in a hurry, our ASD Tug 1810 might be for you. As a result of our stock-building programme, we currently have a number of these highly manoeuvrable vessels available for fast delivery.

Just 18.25 metres long, the tug delivers 30 tonnes of bollard pull. Thanks to its Damen Twin Fin skeg, the ASD Tug 1810 is highly manoeuvrable and predictable during operations. It’s an extremely efficient tug too, in every sense of the word. Its obstacle-free deck and single winch for operations fore and aft support swift, safe working conditions. A Damen Marine NOx Reduction System ensures low emissions and IMO Tier III compliance.

A CSOV designed to accommodate up to 120 offshore energy personnel, with a hybrid battery-electric propulsion system cutting CO2 emissions, and four azimuth thrusters for precision manoeuvring in demanding conditions.

A decade anchored in trust, building the maritime future together. Relive the 10th edition of the Damen Maritime Festival in our aftermovie.

Yesterday, 29 suppliers and participants from across Damen companies came together at Damen Shipyards Gorinchem to explore how collaboration shapes the future of the maritime industry.

Highlights included the demonstration of the autonomous Damen Interceptor 1102, which sailed both manually and autonomously, and the guided tour featuring Damen's first electric Multi Cat 1908. Guests could also step aboard a selection of modern and historic vessels, including the hybrid and fully electric Damen Waterbus and vessels from the Damen Heritage Fleet, and sail along on several of them.

The Damen Innovation Talks put the spotlight on autonomous sailing and circular shipbuilding, while the Damen & Alewijnse Escape caravan challenge and the Captain's Challenge added a festive touch to this anniversary edition.

Legends never die. ⚓

One last voyage. The Batavia, 650 tonnes of living Dutch history, has started her final journey from our yard in Amsterdam to the Batavia Museum in Lelystad.

Her frames were decay and her time in the water was over. But her story isn’t.

At Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam, she was carefully lowered into a purpose-built steel cradle that will preserve her for generations to come. From the water to the quayside and into history.

A week to remember at Damen Shiprepair Curaçao.

We're looking back on an incredible week, one that celebrated 100 years of ship repair in Curaçao and everything that has made it possible: dedication, craftsmanship, resilience and pride.

During the week, we welcomed over 1,200 students to our yard, hosted the CMAR-Curacao members' reception on World Maritime Day, unveiled a unique artwork by local artist Giovanni Abath, and opened our gates to the families and friends of our colleagues.

It was a week of learning, connection and pride, bringing together students, maritime professionals, employees and the wider community.

We're proud of the role our yard continues to play in Curaçao's maritime community, and we look forward to building on that legacy together.

On Wednesday, 23 September, we launched a Multi Cat (MuC) 2712 at our yard in Gorinchem. We are building the vessel for Protunus. Upon delivery, the versatile MuC 2712 will perform a wide range of duties for both Protunus and Pro Liquid.

With 31 tonnes of bollard pull, a spacious deck and efficient performance, the vessel will be capable of taking on a range of offshore, salvage, towage and liquid cargo operations around the world.

The launch is a significant milestone, bringing us one step closer to putting this versatile vessel to work. We will now move into the commissioning and testing phase of the project, working towards delivery in November this year.

She was launched here. Now she's back home.

Last week, the Batavia (a 56-metre replica of the original 1628 Dutch East India Company vessel) arrived at Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam for one of the most meaningful projects our yard has been part of.

The Batavia was first introduced to the water from our very own Dock 4 on 10 April 1995. Thirty-one years later, she has returned to that same dock. This time, to be carefully lowered into a bespoke 90-tonne steel cradle, in which she will be permanently displayed at Museum Batavialand in Lelystad.

The Batavia's construction between 1985 and 1995 gave young people the chance to learn traditional woodworking and shipbuilding skills. That vision resonates deeply with our own commitment to training the next generation of ship repair professionals through our in-house educational programmes.

Some stories deserve to be preserved and we are honoured to help tell this one.

No two projects are the same

When Görkem Güngör joined Damen Shipyards Antalya in 2018, he didn't expect to build a career across multiple roles. Since then, he's worked as a service engineer, commissioning engineer and project manager, continuously expanding his responsibilities and expertise.

Today, as Project Manager Team Leader, he works on a wide variety of vessels where unexpected challenges are part of the job. One project came down to the wire when a late request from the classification society threatened the delivery schedule. By bringing the right people together and putting forward a solution, Görkem helped ensure the vessel was delivered on time.

"Every day is a different story. Even when we're building ships in series, no two projects are the same."
