Our colleagues Niels and John recently visited Georgia alongside our partner, Fish House/Lomisi, to explore the latest developments in the local aquaculture market.

Sturgeon farming is growing rapidly in Georgia, creating new opportunities for fish, fillet and caviar production. As the sector continues to develop, the demand for high-quality aquafeeds is increasing as well.

We are proud to support this growth and strengthen our partnerships across the region.

Today, June 10, we are celebrating 10 years since Coppens International became part of the Alltech family.

While our name may have changed, our mission remains the same: We are committed to developing high-quality aquafeed solutions and supporting farmers around the world. Over the past decade, we have grown by combining our aquaculture expertise with Alltech’s global knowledge, technology and network.

A big thank you to our colleagues, partners and customers who have been part of this journey. We look forward to continuing to build the future of aquaculture together.

The Seafood Global Expo in Barcelona is coming up! Alltech Coppens and Alltech Fennoaqua will be there from 21–23 April at an engaging stand focused on all things aquaculture.

Two weeks ago, Xander de Boer, Ruben Groot and John van Dooren visited Azerbaijan, where they met with representatives of our partner Azerbaijan Fish Farm (AZFF) and toured the sturgeon farm located in Neftçala.
At this modern facility, the team visited the hatchery and ongrowing systems and observed the wintering system, where the fish are carefully prepared to produce high quality caviar.

In that week, a seminar was organised for a large group of fish farmers and government officials. Topics included feed, feed management, and feed production, with a strong focus on sustainability—an increasingly important subject for both producers and their customers.
We would like to thank Azerbaijan Fish Farm (AZFF) for the hospitality and the valuable exchange of knowledge.
