This year, EMHA GmbH celebrates 50 years of company history. Its roots go back to Hamburger Marine- und Industrie-Montage GmbH (MIM), founded in Hamburg in 1976 by Karl-Friedrich (Fiete) Buck. At the time, he and his partners purchased materials worth 200,000 German marks from Philadelphia Resins, without knowing whether the material would actually find a market in Germany. Today, we would probably call this a โstartup.โ MIM was founded with a clear mission: to introduce Chockfast to the German market for the marine and industrial sectors.
Over the following years, MIM grew into a recognized Chockfast specialist. Following its integration into the EMHA Group, the company eventually changed its name from MIM to EMHA. Today, our range of services also includes modern technologies such as laser tracking, laser alignment and vibration diagnostics, as well as on-site machining, water-lubricated Railko bearings and components for propulsion systems.
To mark this 50th anniversary, we were pleased to welcome Kai-Uwe Adams from the IHK Lรผbeck, Norderstedt office, today. It was a special occasion to look back on five decades of growth, made possible by dedicated and motivated employees, strong partnerships, outstanding products and, of course, loyal customers. At the same time, it was an opportunity to look ahead to the future with confidence and optimism.
