It's been a while, but we'd like to talk a bit more about our installation at Ketelhuisplein, at the Dutch Design Week last October. In our Public Space workshop, we've noticed some invisible tresholds. The installation was a way for us to make these tresholds visible and discuss the possibilities of doing things differently. In the past year we’ve been doing projects together with Cynthia’s dad, . He has an expansive material knowledge, followed courses in interior and furniture design, but also works as an sales manager. As a studio, we always design from concept and story, but we’re not really experts on materials. It allows us to play freely and think that everything is possible, although we have to admit that it can be very helpful to have someone who knows whether or not ideas can be translated into reality. We really compliment each other in that way.
It’s so special that after 34 years we discovered a shared passion, giving us the opportunity to explore a new type of relationship with each other.
