For the past four weeks, foundation work has been underway for the next phase of the KUBO greenhouse project at Windset Farms in Delta, BC.

After completing 16 hectares of LED-lit expansion earlier this year, which is already in production, and following the nearly 10 hectares of LED-lit expansion KUBO built for Windset in 2023/2024, the grower is expanding again. This additional phase is scheduled to start producing in the summer of 2027.

The foundation work is now complete, and the first containers are expected to arrive by the end of the month.

Construction of the additional 8-hectare KUBO greenhouse will then begin, with Mountain High handling the installation of the gables and cladding.

Great progress on site, and we’re looking forward to seeing another KUBO greenhouse take shape at Windset Farms in Western Canada. 💪

Want duurzame groei gaat voor ons verder dan de oplossingen die we ontwikkelen voor de glastuinbouw. Het zit ook in de keuzes die we daarbuiten maken.

Een gedachte die vandaag extra goed past. 💚

For The Flowerhouse in Chilliwack, British Columbia, KUBO developed a 5,994 m² Conventional Venlo greenhouse with four separate climate compartments.

The greenhouse combines production and retail in one integrated structure, creating the right environment for both plants and visitors.

A major step forward for controlled environment agriculture in Jazan, Saudi Arabia. 🌱

Last week, KUBO signed the contracts for a new large-scale greenhouse horticulture project with Amtar Al Khair Agricultural Crops Company. The project has a planned total area of 45 hectares. The first greenhouse will use KUBO’s Ultra-Clima® concept to support efficient tomato production under challenging climatic conditions.

KUBO was represented by Wouter Kuiper and Said El Ouakili. The signing took place in the presence of H.R.H. Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jazan Region, Dutch Ambassador Hans Peter van der Woude and representatives of the Jazan Region Development Strategic Office.

Our thanks to Simone Landhuis, Ivan Venantius, Fatma Elmari, Nienke Gelderloos and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Saudi Arabia for their involvement and contribution.

Together, we are supporting local food production, knowledge transfer and the efficient use of water and energy.
