Burger place Le Smash asked us to print over 50 lampshades and planters. That would take ages, right? Well, not if you can produce over 30 elements in one print!

After the success of their first location, burger place Le Smash decided to open 3 additional restaurants. To achieve the rustic, authentic look they were aiming for, Le Smash recruited us to print over 50 lampshades and planters for their newly opened locations.

While our usual applications include walls, homes, or even apartments, we were more than ready for this task of smaller elements. With our technology, you're able to control various variables, allowing models of different sizes to be printed just as efficiently. Plus, we welcomed the challenge of fitting over 30 elements in a single print!

Not only variables like printing speed, but additives like the retarder we use are also crucial when printing models of varying sizes. Luckily, with our MPS supporting 2 components (2k), an option for a third component, and the ability to equip our system with a 2 component (2k) nozzle, we have plenty of options for material variations. With all these possibilities for our 3D concrete printing technology, we can print with a 4k system - the only 4k system in the world!

Western Australia’s first 3D Printer has the potential to print the walls of a standard home in just one day!

We have officially wrapped up our training of our latest partner: Contec Australia. With the CyBe RC - the first 3D concrete printer in Western Australia - they are set to deliver faster, more sustainable, and cost-effective building solutions.

Like many countries, Australia is facing labor shortages and rising construction costs, making affordable housing increasingly scarce. Our 3D printing technology offers unmatched speed, reduced labor demands, improved sustainability, and superior strength - a true game-changer for the industry!

In two weeks time, ChangeMaker 3D finished more than 20 printed elements of 5 different products, totalling over 4800 3D printed layers.

In a move to demonstrate the benefits of 3D concrete printing, ChangeMaker 3D has set up a printing hub together with United Utilities , showcasing the technique's advantages for the water sector. In the hub in Wigan, UK, our partner demonstrated the advantages of 3D concrete printing for the water sector. During the three-week project, multiple elements were printed, showcasing 3D concrete printing's benefits regarding safety, speed, affordability, sustainability, and versatility, showcasing the technique's advantages for the water sector. In our partner Hive3D’s first project using CyBe 3D printing technology, they achieved a square foot price of less than $106!

Featured in Today’s Throwback Spotlight: Hive3d Builders’ affordable housing project in Round Top, Texas, comprising five small short- and long-term rental houses. One of the larger homes from this project, measuring 800 square feet, was delivered for under $85,000. This translates to a square footage price of less than $106, or €1030/m² - well below Texas standards for average square foot costs. An impressive accomplishment, especially considering it was achieved during their first time working with CyBe 3D printing equipment!

ChangeMaker 3D’s co-founder Natalie Wadley leverages CyBe Technology to build not only faster and more affordable but also more sustainable. In addition to their focus on 3D printed concrete structures for the rail, road, and water infrastructure, our partner is now looking to tackle UK homelessness through 3D printed affordable housing.

Pictured below is Natalie standing in one of ChangeMaker 3D’s innovative projects: 3D printed Toilet Pods. With 60% less carbon than steel alternatives, a print time of less than 5 hours, and cost savings through clever wall design, the toilet pod gives an excellent example of the advantages 3D printing can bring when applied correctly.

Last month, we had the pleasure of welcoming E&R Kennistafel for an exclusive factory tour at CyBe! As a leading Dutch network in innovation and sustainability, E&R connects nearly 10,000 professionals to share knowledge and optimize leadership.

During the visit, we showcased our PPVC technology—modular, prefabricated 3D printing that boosts efficiency and enables near-net-zero construction.

Coming soon: one of the world’s largest 3D printed housing developments - 80 affordable homes in Houston, Texas!

Our partner Hive3d Builders is set to launch the world’s second-largest 3D printed housing development - a staggering 80 affordable homes ranging from 1,000 to 1,300 square feet. With prices starting in the low $200Ks, these homes will be nearly half the cost of Houston’s median home price!

Site work is already underway, and printing is set to begin in June. In the meantime, Hive3D is busy with some other exciting projects, so keep posted for more updates on this and other projects!
