Three years after successfully commissioning the first HOUCON Autonomous Rescue Platform for Straddle Carriers at a major container terminal in Newark, USA🇺🇸, we are proud to announce the delivery of a second HOUCON Platform to the same customer.
This new Rescue Platform has been specifically engineered to perform emergency evacuations from a 3-high stradd to another 4-high stradd, reflecting the operational reality of terminals working with mixed straddle fleets. By investing in this additional platform, the customer once again demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, operational responsibility, and the protection of their personnel.
The decision to expand their emergency response capabilities was driven by a clear safety philosophy: in critical situations, immediate access to the right rescue equipment can make a vital difference. By ensuring that evacuations can be carried out rapidly and efficiently, the terminal significantly enhances preparedness and maximizes the potential for safe outcomes.
While safety is always the highest priority, responsible terminal operators understand that preparedness is equally essential. This HOUCON Rescue Platform has been designed and built with one ultimate goal: to be available when needed, while hopefully never having to be used.🫣
We sincerely appreciate the trust this customer continues to place in HOUCON and their proactive approach toward safeguarding their workforce and operations.
