Boskalis is currently transporting a truly unique cargo aboard our semi-submersible heavy transport vessel Forte: a rocket, which recently returned to Earth after completing its mission in space. After landing in the middle of the Indian Ocean, the rocket was towed towards Christmas Island, Australia. We mobilized our Forte to receive the returned rocket.

By submerging the Forte, the 52-meter-long cargo could be positioned with precision on the vesselโ€™s carefully prepared deck. When the seafastening was completed, the Forte set sail for the United States, where the rocket is expected to be delivered in the coming weeks.

We wish the crew of the Forte safe seas and a successful voyage.

Off the coast of Macae in Brazil, Boskalisโ€™ subsidiary SMIT Salvage recently refloated a stranded anchor handler. While entering the port of Macae in Brazil, the vessel reportedly struck a rock, suffered water ingress due to the damage sustained, and was purposely beached on a sandbank near the beach. A salvage team from SMIT Salvage was mobilized to assess the damage, develop a refloating plan, patch the damaged hull, refloat the vessel and tow it back out to sea with the assistance of several tugs.

Given the sensitive nature of the grounding location, prime focus was given to the prevention of any possible pollution because of the grounding and refloating operation. Therefore, the fuel on board was transferred to tanks on the mainland. Special care was taken for the water that had to be pumped out to prevent any spill into the ocean. Prior to commencement of these activities, the Navy, environmental agencies, and other competent authorities signed off on the salvage plan. The vessel was initially anchored in a sheltered anchorage off the Brazilian coast for further reassurance of its stability and integrity, after which it was towed to a nearby shipyard.

We thank our salvage team for their hard work and dedication in Brazil, and our Boskalis colleagues and local network for their excellent support during this refloating operation.

When people think of Boskalis, they often think of large vessels and major projects. And rightly so. But we also pay close attention to the small โ€“ sometimes almost invisible โ€“ things, both in our daily work and in our commitment to a cleaner environment. A good example is our long-standing sponsorship of the Boskalis Beach Cleanup Tour, organised by the North Sea Foundation (Stichting De Noordzee), along the entire Dutch coast, alongside the many cleanup initiatives our colleagues organize at our projects around the world.

Thanks to the efforts of around 250 colleagues and their family members, a stretch of the Dutch North Sea coast is cleaner once again. During this morningโ€™s Boskalis Beach Cleanup Tour Family Day, they removed 218 kilograms of waste from the beach at Hoek van Holland.

In addition, during the Boskalis Beach Cleanup Tour from 1 to 15 August, many hundreds of volunteers already removed large amounts of waste from the North Sea coastline. Since the tour began in 2013, the total amount collected has reached nearly 120,000 kilograms. This year, the tour focused on a specific type of waste: small pieces of plastic. These fragments were once part of larger items of litter that remained on the beach for years, gradually breaking down into ever smaller particles. You only notice them when actively look for them. And thatโ€™s exactly what the volunteers did so successfully!

A huge thank you to all our colleagues and their family members for their fantastic efforts in helping to keep our beaches and oceans clean!

โ€˜Rollinโ€™ on the riverโ€ฆโ€™ Itโ€™s one of the most well-known lines from the world-famous song โ€œProud Mary,โ€ released by Ike and Tina Turner in 1970. And now, 46 years later, this line is still relevant for Boskalis. Our trailing suction hopper dredger Medway is currently carrying out maintenance dredging works on the Weser river in Germany on behalf of Boskalis Hirdes. By maintaining this heavily trafficked river, Boskalis ensures that the ports of Bremen and Bremerhaven, among others, remain accessible to large container ships and that global trade can continue.

The Medway is dredging both sand and silt from the 90-kilometer-long river virtually year-round and deposits it at locations designated by the client. Our work on the Weser will continue for more than a year, so the Medway can continue to โ€œrollโ€ on the river for quite some time. We wish the crew of the Medway every success with the dredging work and thank the client for the pleasant collaboration.

Boskalis is deploying an extensive offshore fleet for many years. And for good reason, because most offshore operations require the deployment of multiple versatile vessels. Recently, four Boskalis vessels were needed to keep a Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) unit in position and then tow it to its next destination.

This took place off the coast of Cameroon, where Golarโ€™s FLNG Hilli had to be picked up for a tow to Singapore. Boskalis deployed its two powerful long-distance tugs BOKA Alpine and BOKA Summit for this task. What made this operation unique was that, during the position keeping of the 293-meter-long FLNG, they received assistance from the Smit Lamnalco tugs SL Trogon and SL Twite. Our subsidiary has been operating in Cameroon for quite some time, which made this collaboration a positive experience in many ways.

We thank the crews of our vessels for their work and wish the BOKA Alpine and BOKA Summit a safe and successful voyage to Singapore. We also thank Golar for the pleasant collaboration.

Today, Boskalis published its half-year results. The company concluded the first six months of 2026 with a solid performance in a market environment characterized by geopolitical uncertainty and a lackluster investment appetite on the part of clients in several regions to award projects. Revenue amounted to EUR 1.90 billion, EBITDA was EUR 553 million, while the net profit amounted to EUR 275 million. The order book stood at EUR 6.8 billion at the end of June 2026. Although slightly below the level at year-end 2025, the order book provides a solid foundation for the remainder of 2026.

Theo Baartmans, CEO Boskalis: โ€œThe first half of 2026 took place against a backdrop of ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, particularly in the Middle East. Despite these challenging circumstances, we delivered a solid result driven by strong operational performance and the commitment and expertise of our more than 11,000 colleagues worldwide.โ€

Building a new trailing suction hopper dredger takes years. During that time, work is focused on preparing for the sea trials โ€“ the moment when the vessel is put to the test in real-world conditions for the first time. In the case of Boskalisโ€™ new 31,000 mยณ trailing suction hopper dredger Seaway, this took place in July, and the vessel passed with flying colors.

Recently, the Seaway also started its first project. Off the coast of Den Helder in the Netherlands, the hopper dredger is being deployed to nourish the channel embankment, protecting the coastline against natural erosion and rising sea levels. The first time the Seaway used her rainbow technique to deposit the sand in the right spot off the coast, it produced some stunning photos. Those photos became even more beautiful when our trailing suction hopper dredger Strandway came to assist her โ€˜big sisterโ€™.

This maiden project of our Seaway is part of a major Rijkswaterstaat contract recently awarded to Boskalis Nederland to protect this section of the Dutch coast. In addition to the works near Den Helder, the contract also includes beach nourishment on the Wadden Sea island of Texel and foreshore nourishment near the town of Julianadorp. Other Boskalis trailing suction hopper dredgers will also contribute to these coastal protection works in the coming years.

We wish the crews of our Seaway and Strandway every success on this project and thank all colleagues who have contributed to the Seawayโ€™s construction over the past few years.

In recent years, Boskalisโ€™ DP3 Construction Support Vessel BOKA Sub C has been operating in Brazilian waters. More than a hundred kilometers offshore, the vessel installed anchors in the deep waters of South America, among other activities. Earlier this year, our BOKA Sub C set sail for Europe, where she was prepared in Spain for her next assignment: the hook-up of a brand-new FPSO off the coast of Guyana.

In addition to an overhaul of the large offshore cranes and thrusters, as well as an upgrade of the vesselโ€™s DP3 system, the BOKA Sub C also received the Boskalis livery. Although the vessel has been part of our extensive offshore fleet for years, she was not immediately recognizable as such at sea - until now. And letโ€™s be honest: the new look suits her incredibly well!

We thank Astander for the pleasant collaboration during the dry dock period and wish the crew of the BOKA Sub C the best of luck on their upcoming project.

Boskalisโ€™ cable-laying vessel Ndurance recently made a significant contribution to the development of an offshore wind farm in France. Over the past few weeks, the vessel installed 31 inter-array cables, connecting the wind turbines of the 496 MW wind farm to the offshore substation.

The Ndurance carried out the project after a busy period in Taiwan. What made the voyage to Europe particularly notable was that the vessel loaded the cable for the French offshore wind farm in Greece. This made the mobilization of our versatile cable-laying vessel highly efficient and supported the timely development of the offshore wind farm.

We thank the crew of the Ndurance for their hard work and our client for the excellent collaboration throughout this project.

Boskalisโ€™ semi-submersible heavy transport vessel Trustee will make multiple voyages over the coming months between Bilbao, Spain and Teesworks in the northeast of the United Kingdom. The vessel will serve as a courier for dozens of monopile foundations, each measuring an average of 90 meters in length and weighing more than 1,600 tons, destined for the future Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm developed by ร˜rsted.

The Trustee loads three monopiles per voyage in Spain and delivers them to the United Kingdom, making the vessel a perfect delivery service for Hornsea 3. With 197 planned wind turbines and a capacity of 2.9 GW, Hornsea 3 will become the single largest offshore wind farms in the North Sea, supplying green electricity to over 3.3 million households.

We wish the crew of the Trustee safe voyages and thank Cadeler and ร˜rsted for the pleasant collaboration.
