Natural ventilation, stronger plants: Plantpol’s experience with the Rovero Roll-Air
At Plantpol in Zaborze, Poland, quality is visible everywhere. Not only in the wide range of ornamental plants they produce, but also in the way they think about cultivation. Six years ago, Plantpol chose a Rovero Roll-Air greenhouse. This year, their second Roll-Air was built. During the Plantpol Open Days, where more than 1,500 growers visited the nursery, the greenhouse was shown in full operation.
What made the visit special was not just seeing the greenhouse itself, but hearing how Plantpol uses it in practice.
The grower explained that the Roll-Air gives them exactly the balance they are looking for. When conditions are good, the roof can be opened and the plants grow under natural light and fresh air. This natural ventilation helps create stronger, more resilient plants. When the weather changes, the greenhouse can be closed quickly, giving the crop the protection it needs.
For Plantpol, this is not about technology for the sake of technology. It is about creating the right growing environment at the right moment. Open when the plant benefits from outside conditions. Protected when the crop needs safety and stability.
