After spending 13 years in the UK, our guest made the unexpected decision to move back to Iran. In this interview, he shares his personal immigration journey, the challenges he faced, and the lessons he learned along the way.

Today, he is an English teacher who specializes in helping students build both language skills and the confidence they need for studying abroad, finding jobs, and adapting to life in a new country.

One of the most important findings of this 2026 study was not only linguistic—it was emotional.
Learners’ reported speaking anxiety decreased after regular practice with AI conversational tools.
The AI provided a private and nonjudgmental environment where mistakes felt safer.
Students could repeat sentences, test new expressions and practise without social pressure.
Many learners reported feeling less shy and more willing to speak English.
This matters because knowing a language does not automatically create the confidence to use it.

A recent 2026 study explored how AI conversational apps can improve English speaking skills and confidence.
The research followed 140 EFL learners over a 16-week period.
Students used AI tools for short and regular speaking practice outside the classroom.
The strongest improvements were found in pronunciation and speaking fluency.
Advanced learners benefited particularly from more spontaneous and natural speech.
Intermediate learners showed meaningful improvement mainly in pronunciation.
The study also found a clear reduction in speaking anxiety and fear of making mistakes.
However, progress in grammar and vocabulary remained limited without structured instruction.
At TICHI, we aim to turn these findings into a personalized, embodied learning experience.

In this interview, we spoke with an international student who is in England. Even though English is the primary language there, many international students and newcomers still struggle with confidence when it comes to communicating and speaking with others.

We listened to the challenges they face in everyday life, explored the situations where they feel less confident, and carefully noted their needs and feedback. Every conversation like this helps us better understand the real problems people experience and brings us one step closer to building a solution that truly makes a difference.
