On this day in 1829, Humphry Davy died.📅
A prolific scientist and inventor, Davy used electricity to isolate several elements for the first time, e.g., potassium, sodium, calcium, strontium, barium, magnesium, and boron. And as if that was not enough, he also discovered the elemental nature of chlorine and iodine.
