We recently competed at the World Championship RoboCup Junior in Salvador, Brazil in the 2v2 soccer lightweight league.

During the 5-day-competition, we went against some of the best teams in the world. Although we experienced some issues, we were able to persevere and solve the problem to the best of our abilities.

Our dedication led to winning not one but two prizes at the world stage! We placed 1st in the SuperTeam tournament. A separate tournament where teams have to work together to play a 5v5 match on a big field.

The jury also awarded us the outstanding documentation award. Besides building robots, Robocup also encourages sharing knowledge to learn from each other. We made a Technical poster, Technical Description Paper and held an interview to share our ideas with the community.

We have learnt a lot during the competition and met amazing teams from all over the world. This experience has led to a new spark of ambition: Fully redesigning our soccer robot to raise the bar in performance.

Stay tuned…

We would like to thank sponsors , , , , , and who supported us throughout the year. And a special shout out to our main sponsor that made this trip possible!

We are currently in Salvador, Brazil for the World Championship Robocupjunior!!

Yesterday during the setup day, we mainly focused on testing the robots on the playing field and ensuring that everything was functioning properly. Later, the event was officially kicked off with an opening ceremony, during which important announcements were made.

Today, the first few matches took place. We competed in four matches, securing two wins and two losses. This shows there’s still room for improvement as we prepare for tomorrow’s matches, there are many more ahead and plenty of prizes still up for the win.

We'll also be posting updates from the competition on our YouTube channel, so feel free to check out the links below!

On the 21st of June, our junior members of Roboticus participated in our school organised Lego Sumo Robot Competition!!

It was an exciting day for the students, as they witnessed the results of months of hard work. All 26 students gave their best, with 8 teams competing Saturday to showcase their efforts. To recognize everyone's dedication, each student received a participation medal, while special prizes were awarded for the best design and the overall winner. The day was filled with thrilling matches, unexpected twists, and moments of redemption, leaving everyone satisfied with the outcome!

On the 28th of June, our medior members of Roboticus competed at the World Robot Olympiad also known as the WRO!!

The WRO is similar to the Robocup Junior Rescue League but focuses on solving multiple set challenges on a standard field rather than following a fixed course. An additional surprise challenge is announced two hours before the competition ends. Some challenge locations may vary to test teams’ problem-solving skills and prevent fully pre-coded solutions. While more challenging, WRO encourages creativity and allows teams more freedom in how they approach tasks, offering a fun and educational environment for students!

We are extremely proud of how all of the students handled the competitions!
In the days leading up to the competition they showed us their dedication, creativity and of course interest in robotics as a whole. So much so that it can only be compared to students from a much higher grade than they are currently in.
