MB Plastics werd in 2000 opgericht als Nederlandse dochter van Motherwell Bridge Ltd. Naast het Teflon bekleden van stalen leidingsystemen kan men inmiddels ook het bekleden en coaten van tanks, tank containers en groter equipment aanbieden. De activiteiten en service werden uitgebreid van de (petro)chemische industrie naar diverse branches waar fluorkunststoffen hun meerwaarde hebben; Biotechnologie, life-science, Semiconductor en de(nucleaire)energiemarkt. Custom basket strainer for highly corrosive phosphoric acid service

This basket strainer was engineered for the filtration of phosphoric acid above 85 wt%, where chemical resistance, coating integrity and dependable mechanical performance are essential.

Internal protection

The process-contact surfaces are protected with a PFA Ultra+ Black coating. This chemically resistant, non-porous lining is applied internally, including the fl**ge faces and edges. The basket is coated on all sides as far as technically feasible.

Corrosive media doesn’t just damage equipment; it creates a constant maintenance headache.

At MB Plastics, we’ve found that the biggest point of failure in chemical processing is often the valve’s internal working parts coming into contact with the process stream.

Our PFA-lined Weir Type Diaphragm Valves solve this by completely isolating those mechanical parts. By using a high-grade PTFE/Neoprene diaphragm and a thick 3-5mm PFA lining, the media never touches the spindle or bonnet.

A few reasons why these are a staple for our customers:

- Zero Leakage: They meet Class VI standards (the highest for bubble-tight shutoff).

- Control: They’re actually effective for throttling, not just open/close.

- Durability: The body is Ductile Iron (GGG40.3), but the chemical resistance is nearly universal thanks to the PFA/FEP lining.

- From stock: We keep a stock of all sizes to ensure a smooth buying process. Most lined valves are hard to get by, and we try to eliminate this problem to increase customer satisfaction
