We invite you to participate in a survey titled "Readying Fungal Name Registration for Accelerated Taxonomy."
As the pace of fungal taxonomy accelerates, driven by the anticipated implementation of DNA-based taxa, it is crucial to get the fungal name registration systems ready to handle increased workloads effectively. Currently, name registration involves manual curation by a few renowned and dedicated curators, whom we all know and greatly appreciate. This survey aims to gather insights from the mycological community on their experiences, preferences, and requirements for an ideal fungal name registration resource. Additionally, we are interested in understanding the community's willingness to support these efforts, either directly or through in-kind contributions. Your valuable input will help us understand the challenges and draw a picture of an ideal case. Your participation is greatly appreciated and will contribute significantly to future advancements in fungal taxonomy.
