💪🏻 We’ve come a long way since 1948, when the company was founded by Jan Minkels: He bought the company for 2500 guilders. At that time, Minkels was a small local business producing sheet metal products for mainly the food industry. Today Minkels is an established manufacturer of server cabinets, aisle containment, and cooling for data center customers worldwide. Our parent company, Legrand, has played a pivotal role in our journey. Not only as a partner but also as the backbone of our organization.

Today is International Women's Day!

International Women's Day was created in the 20th century as women stood up for their rights, including the right to work and vote. Women's Day was first celebrated internationally in 1911, in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland on March 19. In 1913, the date of the day was changed to March 8, and has not changed since.

Every year on March 8, International Women's Day celebrates the militancy and sense of solidarity of women around the world, usually through a specific theme.

At Legrand, we pay attention to this day by having a cup of coffee together with all the women of the company. We exchange views on the history of this day and how it feels to us in 2022. A lot has changed over the years!

This year's theme is Solidarity.
