Ammonia is classified among the highest-risk hazardous substances. Safe and effective incident response requires more than general hazardous materials knowledge. It requires a deep understanding the behaviour of ammonia, risks and tactical response options.
Building on the success of previous editions, H2K is once again organising the ๐ฏ-๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐บ๐บ๐ผ๐ป๐ถ๐ฎ ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ฝ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด.
This intensive course combines expert theory, practical workshops, live demonstrations and realistic scenario-based exercises. Participants develop the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to respond confidently and safely to ammonia-related incidents in production, storage and transport environments.
The programme covers key topics such as the physical properties and behaviour of ammonia, health effects and medical coordination, reconnaissance, safe zone establishment, gas detection, thermal imaging, containment, dispersion, water application, ventilation and lessons learned from past incidents. The training also includes realistic ammonia releases and live demonstrations with hot and cold ammonia.
With the growing role of ammonia in the energy transition and its increasing use across industry, the need for specialised knowledge and high-quality training is more urgent than ever.
