✨ SenseWURk is recruiting a new team to represent WUR at the 2024 edition of the SensUs Student Competition! ✨

SensUS is a yearly student competition focused on the development of health biosensors. This year’s theme is Chronic kidney failure and the selected biomarker is creatinine. 🧬🥼

The SensUs challenge is a great opportunity to develop 21st-century skills, work in a motivated multi-disciplinary team, see your ideas come to life in the form of a working prototype, as well as a great chance to boost your CV. 🌟

The 2023 SenseWURk team had an amazing learning journey and ended as runner-up. 🤩

We are organizing an info meeting on the 3rd of November from 12:45 to 13:45 in Plus Ultra II (training room). We are looking for students with a technical background, as well as students with business and communication backgrounds.🤝🏼

Last week was the conclusion of the SensUs competition! After 4 days of testing, pitching, networking, workshops and fun at the Innovation Days in Eindhoven, we were awarded two runner-up positions and a gold medal! 🏆🏆🏅 We won second place in Analytical Performance, as well as for the Distributed Testing. You could say that a year of blood(plasma), sweat and tears have really paid off! Our team is beyond grateful for all the experiences we had, the knowledge we gained, the people we met and the help and support we got along the way. We'd like to thank our sponsors, partners, interviewees and coaches for their help; these results would not have been possible without you! WUR sensing it!

It has been quiet the past few weeks on our account, but that does not mean we have been sitting still! Apart from our weekly meetings, we have been working hard deciding on a sensor, writing our proposal, finding sponsors and doing our first labwork. The challenge is really starting now!
