However, over the last 200 years, sea turtles are facing survival threats from:
🥤Plastic pollution and entanglement
🐢 Poaching for their shells
🥚Climate change - which makes the sand warmer than usual leading to more female turtles being born which skews the s*x ratios of the turtles. Optimum temperature is needed for both s*xes to be born.
The issues that sea turtles face are proof that the climate crisis and loss go hand in hand. Addressing one helps to address the other!🌡️🌊
