40 NEW PATROL AND INSPECTION BOATS FOR VIETNAM’S MINISTRY OF PUBLIC SECURITY
This batch of 40 FS 870 Semi cabin patrol boats was completed on schedule by our partner shipyard, Tân Viễn Đông.

EO Workboats and Tân Viễn Đông have established a joint venture to supply workboats worldwide in a wide range of sizes and models. The workboats will be built in aluminum, fiberglass and HDPE.

The key features of the FS 870 Semi-Cabin—including its stability, speed, machinery and onboard equipment—meet the agreed quality standards.

Technical specifications:
• Overall length: 8.65 m
• Maximum beam: 2.73 m
• Maximum speed: 57 km/h
• Maximum capacity: 12 people
• Powerful and fuel-efficient Mercury FourStroke 200 hp outboard engine
• Hydraulic steering system for precise control and smooth, effortless operation
• CE C- and SI-certified and suitable for patrol, inspection and rapid-response operations on rivers, in estuaries and in coastal waters.

The vessel can be fully customised with options such as a bar, toilets, flexible seating, sunbeds, shaded areas and other passenger-comfort features.

Propulsion options include diesel inboard, outboard and hybrid-electric systems, depending on the operational profile and local requirements.
Thanks to our smart assembly method, the vessel can be transported worldwide by container, making international delivery efficient and cost-effective.
