After 19 years at the helm, Michel Corbeau officially handed over the role of Managing Director to Jelle Lanting last week.

An important milestone for Nemag, and one we look back on with pride and confidence in the future. The transition has been carefully planned. Jelle joined Nemag in August and deliberately spent his first two months getting to know our colleagues, the organization, and its day-to-day operations.

Under Michel's leadership, Nemag has grown into a technology-leading specialist in grabs for dry bulk handling over the past 19 years. With a strong team, a solid foundation, and ambitious plans for the future, we look forward to continuing to build Nemag's future together with Jelle.

Michel will remain closely involved with the company as a supervisory board member, advisor, and shareholder.

We thank Michel for his tremendous dedication, commitment, and leadership over the past 19 years and wish Jelle every success and enjoyment in his new role!

𝗘𝗲𝗻 𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘂𝘄 𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗳𝗱𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗸 𝘃𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗴!

Na 19 jaar aan het roer heeft Michel Corbeau vorige week officieel het stokje overgedragen aan onze nieuwe directeur, Jelle Lanting.

Een bijzondere mijlpaal voor Nemag, waar we met trots en vertrouwen bij stilstaan. De overdracht is zorgvuldig voorbereid. Jelle is in augustus gestart en heeft de eerste twee maanden bewust de tijd genomen om onze collega's, de organisatie en de dagelijkse werkzaamheden goed te leren kennen.

Onder leiding van Michel is Nemag in de afgelopen 19 jaar uitgegroeid tot een technologisch toonaangevende specialist in grijpers voor de overslag van droge bulk. Met een sterk team, een solide basis en volop ambities voor de toekomst kijken we ernaar uit om samen met Jelle verder te bouwen aan Nemag.

Michel blijft als commissaris, adviseur en aandeelhouder nauw betrokken bij de organisatie.

We bedanken Michel voor zijn enorme inzet, betrokkenheid en leiderschap in de afgelopen 19 jaar en wensen Jelle veel succes en plezier in zijn nieuwe rol!

On 8 October, Leo Melse will officially begin a new chapter. Having celebrated his 40-year anniversary at Nemag last year, Leo leaves behind more than four decades of experience, commitment and contribution to our company.

As ICT & Sales Engineer, Leo has been a familiar and valued colleague at Nemag for many years. His knowledge, dedication and willingness to support others have made a lasting contribution to both our team and the way we work.

Leo, thank you for everything you have brought to Nemag over all these years. We wish you a wonderful retirement, plenty of time to enjoy the things you love, and all the best for this next chapter!

Today, Riny Stoutjesdijk celebrates an incredible 40 years at Nemag.

As Sales Manager, Riny has spent four decades building extensive knowledge of the dry bulk handling industry and developing strong relationships with customers, partners and colleagues around the world.

But for Riny, experience is not something to keep to yourself. His belief that sharing knowledge is the key to success has made him a valuable source of expertise for both customers and colleagues throughout the years.

The foundation of Nemag.

The company started under the name: Machinefabriek en scheepsreparatie G. van Ameijden & A. Grootveld.

A machine factory in Rotterdam, focused on mechanical engineering and ship repair. Demand for the workshop’s expertise grew quickly. By 1929, the blacksmiths relocated to create more working space.

In 1932, the company continued under a new name: Nemag
An acronym for Nederlandse Machinefabriek van Ameijden en Grootveld.

What began as a local machine factory steadily evolved built on craftsmanship, technical precision, and resilience during economically challenging times.

A century later, those same foundations still define how we work.

At the start of the new school year, 16-year-old Moya joined Nemag as a BBL apprentice in partnership with Werk & Vakmanschap.

After obtaining her secondary school diploma before the summer, she is now starting the level 3 All-round Production Technology programme. This allows her to combine her education with practical experience. Her ambition is clear: she wants to become a welder.

At Nemag, we strongly believe technical craftsmanship is best developed by learning, practising and working alongside experienced colleagues. We are really proud to give young talent like Moya the opportunity to build both her skills and her future.

Next to that, we are especially pleased to welcome a young woman with a passion for welding to our team.

Met ingang van het nieuwe schooljaar is de 16-jarige Moya bij Nemag gestart als BBL’er, in samenwerking met Werk & Vakmanschap.

Voor de zomervakantie behaalde ze haar MAVO-diploma. Deze maand begint ze aan de opleiding Allround Medewerker Productietechniek op niveau 3. Zo combineert ze haar opleiding met praktijkervaring in onze werkplaats. Haar ambitie is vanaf de start al duidelijk: ze wil lasser worden.

Bij Nemag geloven we dat technisch vakmanschap zich het beste ontwikkelt door te leren, te oefenen en samen te werken met ervaren collega’s. Daarom geven we jonge talenten zoals Moya graag de ruimte om aan hun vaardigheden en hun toekomst te bouwen.

We zijn extra trots dat we een jonge vrouw met een passie voor lassen in onze werkplaats mogen verwelkomen.

But not everything in our workshop is serious all the time. Behind the helmets and protective gear are people who enjoy what they do, and take pride in it. Sometimes that simply shows with a thumbs up.

Because building heavy-duty grabs isn’t just about steel and precision.
It’s also about enjoying the work you do, together.

Want het bouwen van grijpers voor het zware werk draait niet alleen om staal en precisie.
Het gaat er ook om dat je samen plezier beleeft aan het werk dat je doet.
