Sure, online meetings can be highly cost-efficient, but nothing beats meeting industry friends, customers, cooperation partners and industry peers face-to-face to discuss the maritime industry’s future challenges and opportunities!

During 2026, the Hydroniq Coolers team plans to visit multiple exhibitions and conferences around the world. Here we’re keen to meet up with shipowners, shipyards and ship designers to discuss their vessels’ cooling requirements.

Hydroniq Coolers has strengthened its operation with the employment of three new team members at the company’s headquarter at Ellingsøy outside Ålesund, Norway.

John W***y Johnsen has joined as manager of HSEQ & purchasing. He joins Hydroniq Coolers from marine industry supplier and Ellingsøy-neighbour Sperre Air Power, where he has spent the past 22 years in roles such as facility manager, CNC manager and CNC programmer.

Per Espen Sjåstad has joined Hydroniq Coolers’ sales team as sales manager. He has close to 20 years’ experience from the maritime industry. He joins from a position as group service manager at Nogva Motorfabrikk – a supplier of engines and propulsion systems to ships. He has previously spent a decade at Rolls-Royce Marine in roles such as contract manager, service engineer and planning engineer.

Caroline Bjørge is Hydroniq Coolers’ new sales engineer. She has joined from a similar position at maritime and aquaculture industry supplier Optimar, where she has also held project management and aftermarket service roles over the past decade.

“We are experiencing increased demand for our products and services, and these hires reflect this. All three have extensive experience from the marine, offshore and aquaculture industries, which are key to Hydronic Coolers. We are delighted to welcome them to our team,” says Inge G. Bøen, managing director of Hydroniq Coolers.

Dear friends, colleagues and business partners,

2025 has been a great year for Hydroniq Coolers, so we would like to use this opportunity to thank you for continued support.

In last year’s Christmas greeting, we wrote that we hoped the world’s leaders would bring us a more peaceful world in 2025. Sadly, that wish hasn’t been fully granted, so we are renewing this wish for 2026!

Armed conflicts around the world are still taking lives and injuring people unnecessarily. This is why we at Hydroniq Coolers have once again has chosen to donate a Christmas gift to Doctors Without Borders - Norway, who are making invaluable contributions to people and societies around the world. We like the work they do, and that is why we provide them with our support.

We wish you all a merry Christmas and hope that you get to spend plenty of time with your loved ones during the festive season.

As sales manager, you will be responsible for maintaining relationships with customers, negotiating contracts, and developing and implementing sales strategies.

MERGER INCOMING...
We're pleased to announce plans to merge Hydroniq Coolers with one of our most important suppliers: Weldteam AS.

“Weldteam is one of Hydroniq Coolers’ most important suppliers. We therefore see great opportunities for an even closer collaboration between the two companies. The objective is to deliver an even more integrated, seamless, and competitive offering to both existing and potential customers,” says Erik Langseth, chairman of Hydroniq Coolers and managing director of SMV Invest AS, which is Hydroniq Coolers' largest shareholder.

Weldteam primarily manufactures pressure-rated equipment and steel structures at the company’s production facility outside Ålesund, Norway. With specialized expertise in welding, machining, and surface treatment, the company delivers, among other things, pressure tanks for air compressors and tube chambers for Hydroniq Coolers’ tube coolers. Hydroniq Coolers is one of the company’s largest customers.

A rare post in Norwegian (only) today...

Førstkommende helg arrangerer Ålesunds Seilforening Norgescup for joller – «Hydroniq Cup 2025» – utfra seilsportsenteret i Nørevika.

Foreningen venter et hundretalls jolleseilere fra store deler av landet, samt foreldre og støtteapparat, til Ålesund denne helgen.

Arrangementet heter «Hydroniq Cup 2025», etter at vi i Hydroniq Coolers har gått inn som sponsor av arrangementet.

Hydroniq Coolers leverer kjølevannsløsninger og varmevekslere til skipsbyggingsmarkedet. Teknologien vår anvendes til å redusere temperaturen til motoren og andre støttesystemer ved hjelp av sjøvann, slik at maskinene og kritisk utstyr om bord ikke overopphetes.

– Seiling er en bærekraftig sport som primært benytter seg av vind for å få fremdrift, men seilerne må også hensynta sjøforhold. Vi i Hydroniq Coolers bruker sjøvann som kjølemedium og har sterkt fokus på å utvikle levere løsninger som krever lavt energiforbruk. Vi synes dette er en god match med seilsporten og har derfor bidratt med et mindre beløp for å støtte arrangementet, sier Inge G. Bøen, daglig leder i Hydroniq Coolers.
