NUI would like to wish all our customers, clients, partners, and industry colleagues a wonderful summer.

As we head into the holiday season, we look back on a busy and rewarding first half of 2026. During the past six months, we have celebrated NUI’s 50th anniversary, welcomed new employees, advisors, and interns, advanced research and innovation projects, and continued delivering critical services to the offshore and subsea industries.

High diving activity on the Norwegian Continental Shelf has also resulted in a particularly busy period for NUI Advisory Services. Our experienced offshore diving Client Representatives have supported some of the industry's largest operators and contractors, providing independent expertise and operational assurance for complex diving operations.

At the same time, we continue to invest in the future through initiatives such as our Diving Awareness Course, fish health research projects, and preparations for Yrkesdykkerkonferansen 2026.

NUI AS has become an Association Partner for the IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) Global Summit 2026, taking place in Antwerp, Belgium, on 28 and 29 October.

NUI will of course be represented at the summit. The Global Summit is IMCA's flagship event, bringing together several hundred business leaders, decision makers and technical experts from across the marine construction industry at A Room with a ZOO.

This year's theme, "Raising Standards. Empowering People. Sustaining the Future," sets a direction for the sector toward 2030. NUI works with operators and contractors across the North Sea and the Norwegian Continental Shelf as well as world wide, on diving safety, hyperbaric medicine and subsea technology, and looks forward to bringing that experience into the discussions in Antwerp.

Registration is now open for NUI's Diving Awareness Course

The next course runs 9-10 September at our facility in Laksevåg, Bergen, and spots are limited.

Over two days, participants combine theory with practical training: pool dives with full offshore diving equipment, a dive in the pressure chamber and an overnight stay in our saturation chamber. The course is designed for engineers, marine crew, ROV teams and HSEQ personnel. No prior diving experience is required.

We are proud to announce that NUI AS has entered into an agreement with REV Ocean and MOLOKLINIKKEN AS for the provision of diving medical contingency services and associated advisory support.

The agreement includes 24/7 access to dedicated diving medical expertise, development of medical procedures, and advisory services related to telemedicine solutions and monitoring systems.

The objective is to ensure a high level of medical preparedness and operational robustness during complex maritime operations.

Norsk Sjømannsforbund er siste organisasjon inn som sponsor, og med det er alle pakker tatt. Det er en tydelig bekreftelse på interessen for konferansen fra hele bredden av aktører i den norske dykke- og subseaindustrien, fra operatører og leverandører til myndigheter og fagmiljøer.

Yrkesdykkerkonferansen 2026 arrangeres 3.-4. november på Scandic Flesland Airport Hotel i Bergen. To dager er satt av til fagforedrag, praktiske caser og oppdateringer på sikkerhet og regelverk, sammen med nettverksbygging mellom roller og virksomheter som normalt ikke møtes i samme rom.
