SKIPSDÅP | HAVFISK NYBYGG 477
Vi i Marine Control Services AS hadde gleden av å delta på skipsdåpen av Havfisk sitt nybygg 477 ved Karstensens Skipsværft A/S, markert på Storneskaien i Ålesund.
En flott dag med stort oppmøte på kaien rundt et moderne fiskefartøy.☀️

J.A. SHIPPING IN DENMARK SELECTS EVOLUTION IAS FROM MCS FOR UPGRADE OF MV SOFIE A - DECK CARGO VESSEL

The vessel was built in 2014 and will now be upgraded with additional thrusters, gensets and a new ship-automation system, Evolution IAS, from MCS. MV Sofie A will be upgraded at a shipyard in Turkey.

Evolution IAS from MCS is classed according to the BV requirements and delivered with a high degree of redundancy for integrated automation with alarm, monitoring and control of altogether 2300 signals on the vessel.

Launching of Eidsvaag Aurora (NB-806)

Zamakona Yards reaches a new milestone with the launching of the first of the two 71 m fish feed vessels to be built for the Eidsvaag AS. Vessel will be named as EIDSVAAG AURORA.

Launching has taken place on the 16th of January in the presence of representatives of the shipowner.

Conceptual design is being carried out by Kongsberg Maritime AS.

Main particulars of the vessels:
Length: 71,10 m
Width: 17,60 m
Depth: 5,8 m
Speed: 13,5 knots
Cargo: 2,000 tons of feed divided between sack and silo
Propulsion system: Hybrid diesel-electric

MCS WITH EVOLUTION IAS AWARDED CONTRACT FOR DELIVERY OF SHIP-AUTOMATION TO WELLBOAT IN SPAIN

Astilleros de Murueta has been contracted to build a new wellboat for the Norwegian aquaculture company Frøy. The wellboat is designed with a strong focus on energy-efficiency and the first wellboat to carry the DNV Cyber Secure (+) notation for high IT security.

Evolution IAS from MCS is classed according to these DNV requirements and delivered with a high degree of redundancy for integrated automation with alarm, monitoring and control of 2600 signals on the vessel.

Clean Electric is contracted to deliver the energy-efficient hybrid propulsion system for the vessel and Evolution IAS is integrating EMS/PMS/BMS and aux systems for ship-automation.

SKIPSDÅP AV KARSTENSENS NB 479 KNESTER I BEKKJARVIK - AUSTEVOLL

I friskt Vestlandsvær med stort oppmøte på kaien avholdt rederiet en flott skipsdåp. Taler fra rederiet, Karstensens Skibsværft og ordføreren i Austevoll ble avholdt og mange lovord ble sagt om skipet og viktigheten for lokalsamfunnet ble uttrykt. Omvisning ombord hvor vi fikk se det nyeste av utstyr og interiør i en moderne fiskebåt. I teltet på kaien spilte musikkorps og god mat og drikke ble servert.

Greenpeace International’s new flagship under construction at Freire Shipyard installs Evolution IAS from MCS

The 75-meter-long green sailing ship has been designed to pioneer sustainable technology. The vessel aims to showcase the potential of renewable energy, in long-distance sea voyages, setting a new standard in the maritime industry. It will be equipped with an advanced hybrid propulsion system, install 2000 square meters of sails, and use renewable energy from solar panels, methanol, hydrogen and batteries.

Evolution IAS from MCS is contracted for ship-automation system with integrated alarm, monitoring and control of systems and equipment on the vessel. Evolution IAS with integration of EMS/PMS/BMS and interfaces to aux systems; engines, thrusters, fire systems, solar panels, fuel cells, heating system.

Workstations with customized software for integrated ship-automation in the Wheelhouse and Engine Control Room, dead man system for E0 operation (DNV class) and alarm panels in accommodations.

Remote Assistant with secure connection from MCS office in Drammen to assist the crew onboard in a safe, fast and economical way.
