Evoy

Evoy World's most powerful electric motor systems for sustainable and silent boating.

Evoy’s vision is to make boating irresistible, thereby accelerating the transition to electric boats and ensuring a significant contribution in reducing global emissions.

How far can an electric boat go?

In reality, most boat trips last 2–3 hours, mixing top speed, cruising, stops and slower speeds.

For the majority of recreational boaters, that’s more than enough.

With this Goldfish X9 powered by the Evoy Hurricane 400+ hp, you get around 25 nautical miles at 25–35 knots.

Slow down and the range increases significantly.

Yes — you could run all day at low speed.

But let’s be honest…

In a boat capable of 50+ knots, would you? 😁

Peak and nominal power tell us two different stories about performance.

In electric boat motors, peak power lets you draw the maximum output from the motor and battery for short bursts of performance.

In this system, the Evoy Hurricane 400 hp inboard means pushing close to 400 kW and reaching around 50 knots.

Nominal power is where the system settles for sustained operation — around 220–240 kW, where the boat cruises comfortably at roughly 40 knots.

The electric system continuously manages this balance based on temperature and operating limitations.

High performance isn't just about maximum output.
It's how the system manages power over time.

System safety is always at the top of the list,
especially with electric propulsion in salt water.

In this episode, our CEO Leif shares a closer look at how Evoy systems are designed to stay within safe limits.

After a short sprint at peak speed, temperatures move slightly — exactly as they should.

The motor cools down quickly.
The battery holds its temperature longer due to its mass.
And at higher loads, the system automatically regulates and limits output if needed.

How do you actually optimize range in an electric boat?

Out on the water this winter, our CEO Leif A. Stavøstrand, walks through how to read the onboard screens and adjust speed for the best balance between performance and efficiency.

From live system temperature to planing speed and energy draw.
This is electric boating in real conditions.

The full walkthrough is available on YouTube.

Electric boating changes more than propulsion.

It changes how you experience the water.
The silence brings you closer to nature and sometimes… that’s the whole point. ✨

In a recent article, Barche A Motore includes the Evoy Storm 300+ in its comparison of high-power outboards, alongside established industry heavyweights.

Electric propulsion brings different dynamics than combustion —
instant response, high power, and energy use that’s visible and measurable.

Being part of this comparison shows how electric propulsion is no longer a side note, but part of the conversation at the highest power levels.

💡Do you see electric motors as a future choice for boat owners?

When something happens on the water, response time is safety.

That’s why Evoy was never built around top speed alone.

From the very beginning, our focus has been instant torque, precise control and predictable response.

In real conditions, situations change fast…
and removing lag between decision and action gives operators more control when it matters most.
