VR & Drinks på Hamar! 🥽🍻

Det ble full klaff da VRINN nylig inviterte til testkveld og mingling sammen med Future Classroom i PARK, Universitetet Innlandet og Hamar Game Events.

Målet med kvelden? Å teste teknologi, dele erfaringer og bli kjent i en uformell setting. Rundt 20 deltakere tok turen – inkludert lokale spillstudenter og langveisfarende bransjefolk helt fra Stavanger og Nederland!

Masse god stemning, nye ideer og spennende bekjentskaper på tvers av fagmiljøer. Takk til alle som kom og gjorde kvelden så vellykket! 🙌

From Mystery to Mastery with 360-VR

How do you take an entire class of students into a heavy industrial plant or a specialized hospital ward without ever leaving the classroom?

Tore Sønsteby, digital educator and advisor at Fagskolen Innlandet, recently explored exactly this during a 360-VR course with Making View AS. The verdict is clear: creating your own content is surprisingly easy!

"We thought it would require massive editing work, but it’s actually almost as simple as filming, doing some minor cuts, and dropping it straight into the VR headsets," Tore says.

What value does this bring to the future of education?
👉Fully Immersive Learning: Where traditional digital teaching is limited to text, audio, and flat video, VR gives students the feeling of being physically present.
👌Travel-Efficient and Inclusive: The Innlandet region is vast. With VR headsets and immersive rooms (digital spaces with projections on all walls), students can experience complex working environments regardless of geography.
👏From Healthcare to Industry: Fagskolen Innlandet already has solid experience using VR in healthcare education. Next up are industrial technology, agriculture, and IT.

It is incredibly exciting to see how the local ecosystem in Innlandet and the gaming/VR hub in Hamar are collaborating. Making View, which has worked with international giants like Red Bull and Audi, provides cutting-edge expertise that elevates local education. And the ripple effects? A former student from Fagskolen Innlandet is now part of the Making View team!

Tore captures it perfectly: "You have to take small steps, but this is absolutely manageable for anyone with a little bit of technical insight."
