Independent field trials on closed-containment fish farming have shown faster growth to market weight and lower accumulated mortality than equivalent open-pen production.

Aquafarm Equipment’s own data goes further. Fifteen years of production data from an earlier-generation system, running for Mowi at Vinsvik, already show zero escapes, no lice established, minimal mortality and faster growth than open pens.
