To be better and to design for all, even those with disabilities, we have done a research project with the design bureau EGGS Part of Sopra Steria and Design and Architecture Norway.

What we found is an eye opener. Our seats are actually only “for those who have made it this far”.

What it means is that our seats on board are small destinations in the holistic user journey. And that every physical, digital and interpersonal obstacle on the way there could be improved!

Design guidelines, knowledge about different disabilities and needs will help us design better solutions, and give us the ability to assist our clients i design for all.

We are growing! Our parent company Scuderia AS has acquired Eknes. Together we will provide a great selection of seating opportunities for our clients.

Scuderia AS announces a major industrial initiative through the acquisition of Georg Eknes Industrier in Bergen and the business formerly known as Modell Møbler in Kristiansand. Together with Alu Design / Seat Innovation, which Scuderia already owns, the company brings together some of Norway’s strongest professional environments within pilot, operator and passenger seating into one unified industrial group.

Through this consolidation, Scuderia AS establishes an industrial platform with the ambition of becoming a world leader in premium pilot and passenger seating for maritime vessels, high‑speed craft, ferries, offshore, defence‑related environments and other demanding specialist applications.

We will be at Shippax on stand 8 and 17.
