🌱 Fighting weeds without flooding the field in chemicals
We're proud that our lightweight, lubrication-free igus linear technology plays a key role in Kilter's AX-1, a fully autonomous weeding robot from Kilter. The robot drives across fields using GPS, spots weeds with AI and vision, and applies herbicide drop-by-drop with pinpoint precision.
The results speak for themselves:
🔹 Up to 95% less chemical use
🔹 Up to 35% higher yields
🔹 Gentler on the soil thanks to a lightweight, grease-free design
The spray module's height adjustment relies on a drylin SLW-25120 linear module from igus, delivered by ASI Automatikk. No lubrication means no grease mixing with field dust, which cuts friction and maintenance and makes the robot more reliable for farmers day after day.
Great to see Norwegian innovation like Kilter's AX-1 pushing sustainable agriculture forward.
