Our first 8 YO! 🥃

This week we're releasing a very special wh**ky in collaboration with The Secret Bottle Shop, Hereford, UK. 🇬🇧

Secret Bottle Shop was one of the very first international shops to stock our wh**ky. Back when very few people knew anything about us, and even fewer knew that we made wh**ky, they saw the potential. Since then, they've been with us on our crazy wh**ky journey.

So it feels rather fitting that we're marking a few milestones together.

The release is a single cask personally chosen by Ed and Carl from Secret Bottle Shop when they visited us a few years back. It's special for a few reasons: at 8 years old, it's the oldest wh**ky we've released to date, it's our first proper bottling from an ex-BIVROST Aquavit cask, and it's our first international exclusive.

If you want to be part of the occasion, our CEO Tor Petter is travelling over to Hereford to host a special BIVROST tasting this Thursday, where the new 8 YO will be presented for the first time.

A nice little milestone in our wh**ky journey, shared with people who have been along for much of the ride. 💙

Our barley farmer in Lyngen, Håvard Jenssen, is happy to report that despite the cold temperatures this summer, it’s been a great harvest. 😊🌾

Growing the Norwegian barley variety Bredo has turned out to be a great decision. It’s sturdy and tough, and seems to handle our rough Arctic summers quite well (or lack thereof) 😅❄️.

❤️ Some people leave more than memories behind.

For many years, Jurgen Proknov has been part of the story of Aurora Spirit – not only as a talented woodcarver and artist, but as someone who has quite literally left his mark on our home here in Lyngen.

His carvings, sculptures and countless creative details can be found all around Aurora. They have given our place character, warmth and soul – and have become part of what makes Aurora… Aurora. 🪵🪓✨

Now Jurgen is leaving Lyngen and moving on to a new chapter. While we are sad to see him go, we are incredibly grateful for everything he has created and contributed over the years.

The artist may be leaving, but his art will remain. Visitors from all over the world will continue to see, touch and admire his work for many years to come. 🌍❤️

Thank you, Jurgen, for your creativity, your craftsmanship, and for leaving a little piece of yourself here at Aurora.

You will always be part of our story.

Our first release of Bivrost Arctic Barley will be available in Norway from tomorrow Thursday 10 Sept. at Spesialslippet (limited number of stores).
