𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀
Aker BP delivered strong operational and financial performance in the first quarter of 2026. Production was stable, significant progress was made across the major development projects, and Symra achieved first oil nine months ahead of original schedule. An important contributor to the company’s production outlook.

The installation of the unmanned production platform was completed as planned and marks an important offshore milestone in the Valhall PWP–Fenris project. The achievement is the result of thorough planning and close OneTeam collaboration across Heerema Marine Contractors and the Fixed Facilities Alliance between Aker BP, Aker Solutions and ABB.

Valhall has been a central part of the Norwegian continental shelf for more than 40 years and has evolved step by step, from the early pioneering years to today’s solutions with remote operations, power from shore and new operating models. Fenris represents the next chapter in this development, significantly increasing the gas export from Valhall and contributing to Norway’s long-term capacity for stable energy.

A big thank you to Heerema and to everyone involved offshore and onshore for a safe and successful installation.

Five years after awarding contracts to Heerema Marine Contractors and Allseas, the results are taking shape: jackets and modules safely installed at Valhall and Yggdrasil. Now Hugin B jacket is completed, next up is Sleipnir installing Fenris topsides.
But behind every heavy lift, there are years of detailed planning. Heavy lifts aren’t just about scale. They’re about making the right decisions early.

It’s not every day we almost get to see part of our own installation from the office in Trondheim. And Fenris makes for a truly impressive view.

Touchdown for the Hugin B jacket.💪 In a safe and well‑executed offshore operation this week, Heerema Marine Contractors’ heavy-lift vessel Sleipnir installed the jacket in the Yggdrasil area.

The 4,500 tonne Hugin B jacket, delivered by the Fixed Facilities Alliance, sailed from Aker Solutions in Verdal in Norway last weekend. On arrival in the field, the jacket was lifted from the barge, upended and landed in its exact position in a controlled manoeuvre. Piling is now ongoing.

With this installation, all platform jackets are in place across Yggdrasil – a major milestone for the project moving ahead on plan with high activity both onshore and offshore. Huge shoutout to everyone involved.👏

A new day, another sail-away from Aker Solutions in Verdal.💪 As the sun was setting on Saturday night, the mooring lines were cut, and the Hugin B jacket started its journey to Yggdrasil in the North Sea.

The 4,500 tonne Hugin B jacket is the final of three jackets to be installed in the Yggdrasil area. It has been delivered on plan, with quality and safely by the Fixed Facilities Alliance between Aker BP, Aker Solutions, and Siemens Energy.

Measuring 145 metres in length and 45 x 45 metres at the feet, the jacket is a complex structure, delivered with precision, teamwork and trust. A major milestone for Yggdrasil, and a proud achievement for everyone involved. Congratulations to the Hugin B team. 👏

The Fenris topside is ready for the North Sea. 💪 Today, it sailed from the Aker Solutions yard in Verdal – delivered on plan, with quality and safely by the Fixed Facilities Alliance between Aker BP, Aker Solutions and ABB. 👏

Fenris is an unmanned production platform that will be tied back to the new production and wellhead platform at the Valhall central complex. When production starts in 2027, Fenris will significantly increase the gas export from Valhall and contribute to Norway’s long-term capacity for stable energy deliveries to Europe.

Hats off to the alliance team for a strong delivery. 👏 Congratulations to the Valhall PWP–Fenris project on important milestone. 🚀
