Touchdown for Munin. 💪 The 9,000-tonne Munin topside has been safely installed in the Yggdrasil area in a controlled lifting operation by Heerema Marine Contractors’ vessel Sleipnir.

With two of three topsides now in place, the Yggdrasil development has reached another major milestone.

Munin, delivered from Aibel, is the first unmanned processing platform of its kind on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. It will be remotely operated from shore, and when Yggdrasil comes on stream, the platform will be capable of delivering up to 13 million standard cubic metres of gas per day and handling up to 60,000 barrels of liquids daily.

A strong OneTeam is behind this achievement. 🙌 Today, years of planning and work became reality offshore. A moment of pride for everyone who has been part of the Munin journey. 👏

Bon voyage, Munin. 👋 Today, the Munin topside left the Aibel yard in Haugesund and began its journey to the Yggdrasil area in the North Sea.

The topside is the result of years of collaboration, engineering and construction by thousands of people across countries, companies and disciplines. More than 100 apprentices and graduates in Norway have started their careers through the project, and over 100 Norwegian suppliers have contributed along the way.

Munin is the first unmanned processing platform of its kind on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. As the topside sailed away, a proud project team lined the quayside, watching years of hard work embark on its next chapter offshore.

Safe journey, Munin. 🌊 This milestone belongs to all the people who helped bring you to life.💪

Watch 9,000 tonnes of topside on the move. 🎥 This week, the Munin topside was safely loaded from the quay onto a transport barge at Aibel’s yard in Haugesund, marking a major milestone for the project. Next stop is the Yggdrasil area in the North Sea.

Munin is an unmanned production platform and the first of its kind on the Norwegian continental shelf. Designed without a helideck, living quarters or lifeboats, it will be remotely operated from shore and visited through planned walk-to-work campaigns using a dedicated vessel.

The first steel was cut in autumn 2023. After years of engineering, procurement, construction, assembly and commissioning, the topside will soon begin its journey offshore. Huge congratulations to everyone involved. This achievement reflects the dedication of thousands of people working as a strong One Team. 💪

A major milestone at Stord
After years of engineering, fabrication, integration and commissioning, the Valhall PWP topside has been safely loaded onto the barge at Aker Solutions yard at Stord, marking a major milestone as the project moves into its next phase.

The topside is delivered through the Fixed Facilities alliance between Aker BP, Aker Solutions and ABB, and will form a key part of the new Valhall Production and Wellhead Platform (PWP), enabling future production and operations at the Valhall field.

Weighing more than 17,500 tonnes, moving a structure of this size requires detailed planning, precision and collaboration across disciplines and locations. The load-out operation was carried out by Sarens in close cooperation with Aker Solutions.

This milestone reflects the dedication, expertise and teamwork of the thousands of people who have contributed to the project.

A huge congratulations to everyone who has contributed to this happen.

This is OneTeam at its best.

We never get tired of spectacular pipeline bundle launches. So, here’s another one for you. 🎬 The second Øst F***g bundle, the 6.5-kilometre-long West Bundle, has now been safely installed in the Yggdrasil area.

Launched from Subsea7’s Wester site in Scotland, the pipeline bundle was towed 390 kilometres across the North Sea by a fleet of five vessels before reaching its final destination. 🌊 That’s four out of four bundles delivered from the Wester site to the Yggdrasil project. 💪

Discovered by Aker BP in 2023, Øst F***g increased Yggdrasil’s resources by around 10 percent. Developed with a subsea template and four wells, the field is tied back to Hugin A through an umbilical and a bundle production system. Just three years after discovery, the Øst F***g subsea infrastructure is rapidly taking shape on the seabed.

Congratulations to the bundle team, Subsea7 and the entire Subsea Alliance. 👏 Four bundles delivered on plan, four bundles safely installed, and another step forward for Yggdrasil.

To shape the next phase offshore, Aker BP is connecting people, rigs and systems into one integrated ecosystem.
Automation, digitalisation, onshore-offshore remote operations on rigs like Noble Claus Bachmann, are driving smarter operations and stronger collaboration across the organisation and the alliances. That means rethinking everything from subsurface decisions to offshore ex*****on. This is how Aker BP is improving performance today while positioning ourselves for future growth. Together as One Team.

More than 1000 vessel days offshore. 40 campaigns. Over 100 individual trips. 🚢 That’s a glimpse of the 2026 offshore season for the Subsea Alliance in Yggdrasil. 💪

As Norway’s largest ongoing oil and gas development, Yggdrasil is in an intensive phase of subsea installation and tie-ins. This year, the Subsea Alliance is installing key elements of the subsea infrastructure, including pipelines, manifolds, bundles, umbilicals, spools and protection covers.

At peak activity this spring, seven Subsea7 construction vessels operated on the project simultaneously, highlighting the scale, complexity and level of marine coordination required.

Now the offshore season has passed the halfway mark and the Subsea Alliance continues to deliver according to plan. Check out the spectacular footage showcasing some of the vessels bringing Yggdrasil’s subsea infrastructure to life. 🎥

One down, two to go. 💪 The first topside is now in place in the Yggdrasil area, bringing the project another step closer to production. 🚀

The 2,500-tonne Hugin B topside was safely lifted from the barge and installed on its jacket by Heerema Marine Contractors’ heavy-lift vessel Sleipnir. Check out the spectacular footage from the operation last night. 🎬

Hugin B is a normally unmanned wellhead platform tied back to the Yggdrasil area centre, Hugin A. The topside is delivered by the Fixed Facilities Alliance between Aker BP, Aker Solutions and Siemens Energy.

A huge congratulations to everyone who has contributed to making this happen. From engineering and construction to offshore ex*****on and marine operations, this achievement reflects the dedication, expertise and teamwork of the entire One Team. 👏
