In order to be more precise in our customer relations, we chose to brand using a well-founded name in the GIS (Geographical Information Systems), mapping, marine engineering and the construction world. Marius Blom, our CEO & Managing Partner of BLOM Maritime, is fourth generation of Bloms. His great grandfather, Christian Blom, was a Naval Architect designing and building vessels in the years 1910-1940, amongst others the famous full rigged sail ship “Christian Radich”, built in Sandefjord Norway in 1937. His grandfather, Hydrographer - Ole Henderson Blom, established Bloms way back in 1954 and the company quickly established itself as a trustworthy partner to the maritime industry for mapping and harbor surveys as well as industrial surveying. BLOM Maritime is a full turnkey solution provider within the maritime segment and with our partners. Amongst our focus areas are the IMO/USCG BWTS regulations and IMO Sulphur emissions gap to assist owners and operators in their retrofitting of the required equipment for optimal solutions. However, we have also seen a requirement for consulting with owners as they are uncertain of the choices required to be implemented for a system to operate optimally for their vessels. Having close operational links with the major suppliers of H/W we can together offer a solution accepted by class and trimmed for the vessels characteristics.
