❄️ 5 Tips to Prepare Your Lay-Flat Hoses for Winter Storage

Proper cleaning, handling and storage can help extend the service life of your lay-flat hoses. Before putting them away for winter, follow these five simple steps:

💧 1. Clean thoroughly - Flush hoses with fresh water to remove slurry, manure and other residues before storage.

🚰 2. Drain before storing - Remove as much remaining water as possible, especially when hoses will be stored in freezing conditions.

🔄 3. Coil with care - Avoid sharp bends, twisting and excessive force, particularly near couplings, where hoses are more vulnerable to damage.

☀️ 4. Store in a sheltered location - Protect hoses from direct sunlight and unnecessary exposure to harsh conditions to help prevent premature ageing.

The other day, while walking through our production facility, I came across some of our circular looms that are nearly ready to be shipped to a customer.

While many know Mandals for our lay-flat hoses, we have also been designing and manufacturing circular weaving looms since 1935 🧵.

🌍 Today, our looms are operating in more than 30 countries around the world, built on decades of experience in weaving technology and continuous development. Designed and manufactured here in Mandal, they are known for their reliability, ease of operation, and long service life.

⚡ The electrical control cabinets for our looms are delivered in collaboration with Schneider Electric, helping ensure dependable performance and control.
